This is the thread for side information on the world (or rather worlds) of L.U.S.T. and for OOC discussion.

To start off: The non-L.U.S.T. factions.

Hunter's Society: A general conglomerate of serial killers, assassins, maniacs and gunmen. They're almost impossible to predict, except that they'll probably attempt to kill someone. The Society, as it is normally called, has existed longer than any other faction (except possibly the Thousand-fold Church), but there is little in the way of leadership. Most "leaders" of the Society are simply charismatic and skillful killers, and haven't actually been promoted into anything.

The Thousand-fold Church: An alliance of churches from across the multiverse, with one goal: to ensure that the rules of the Church (local or multiversal) are followed absolutely. They tend to oppose L.U.S.T. head-on, as its teachings of gender equality and free love tend to conflict with the Church's stance of "Marriage is between a man and a woman, sex is for procreation only, anything else is wrong."

There are also two other factions, one revolutionary and often conflicted within themselves, the other obsessed with the allmighty dollar, but these are yet to be named or play a part in a story...
(@merkros : this is the place for OOC, but in-line OOC statements are good for if you want to give important information to the rest of the party).

Perhaps then I can just be sure that the addition of a flute to Rhenh's belongings. It's one of his few personal belongings and he probably wouldn't leave it behind.

Just wanted to check and not be all "Oh I have a flute now"

Of course you can have a flute.

Perhaps we should keep a running inventory of our things here, but I'll wait until the rest of the party responds and we decide what we're going to do first

I'm certainly not opposed to knowing what I'm carrying.

    Okay.
You have, as stated in the introduction, five day's worth of rations, made up of breakfast packs containing dried fruit, bread and honey, lunch packs containing instant soup and a block of jerky (dried lentils for the faun), and dinner pack containing bread and meatballs in sauce (vegteballs for the faun). You also have a tent, big enough to sleep all three of you assuming you remain in present forms, sleeping backs (which can be easily unzipped from the front), and a variety of survival tools, some of which could be used as weapons (a hatchet, for instance).
In addition, you can take along setimental items, useful trinkets and sex toys, (I assume L.U.S.T. packed them for you) but remember that it has to be packed into a backpack, so no taking three hundred dildos, funny as it would be.

    >_< Pinkamina's hoard is nothing like that!

(She only has two dildoes, a vibrator, and a butt-plug in it and they're all made of pure gold...) ^_O

Also, to both of the other current players: Remember, L.U.S.T. promotes 'free love' not automatically free sex. Pinkamina wants a lover or three, not a fuckbuddy. (Don't worry, I'm sure we will bed NPCs in plenty...)

Oh, in related news: Pinkamina's personal supplies include the following:

1: Chromed Steel wind up Vibrator: which will run for 20 minutes after a full winding and has a holding switch that can retain its 'charge' indefinitely: with a sepearte winding key.
2: A Roman Gladius Style Short Sword strapped to her belt on the left hip and a WWII boot knife in each boot.
3: A black 'norman style'* wool cloak embroidered with a red rose on the back and a separate red hood.
*(Oppens to one side rather than the center body: in this case her left.)
4: Assorted 'toiletries' enough for six days.* These include very small containers of soap, shampoo, conditioner, her personal perfumes for both forms, a roll of toilet paper, and 'hygiene' products...
*('Be Prepared' is the motto of the Girl Scouts too...)
    5: A flint and steel.
6: A small chromed steel mirror.
7: 12 individually vacuum sealed pairs of dry pure cotton knee socks.
8: A 5-pound bag of small organic mint candies.*
*(A surefire way to sway a group of people to your side? Get their kids to like you...)
9: Spare Boots, Belt, Boot-knife, and Chinstrap for her enchanted helmet.

Typically Rhenh only keeps some loose shirts and his trusty flute. He doesn't exactly need a whole lot of personal effects as he is rather carefree. While on assignment(depending on what dimension and period we're in), he carries an era-appropriate ranged weapon.

In the current case, a bow strapped onto his back and a quiver of arrows.

    ooh candy...

 The faun can be the one to take a candy to prove they're not poisoned.

Oh, I didn't bother to list it above because Pinkamina always has it, but she's got a magical helmet that enhances her wisdom and can make itself look and feel like any kind of headgear you want. Currently, it looks like a stone age bone and ivory helmet. It is also 'socketed' with what is known as a heart-stone: magical stones that form from special rituals at certain sacred sites during major surges of magical power. The Helm has a total of four 'sockets' only one of which is full, and that's the one that gives her most of the wisdom boost.

She's hoping that if they pull off this ritual another heart-stone will appear that she can socket into the helm, but whether that happens is up to the GM.

(As you may have guessed the world Ruslehyachnye comes from is a lot like a mid-90s MMORPG. In fact, who knows, maybe it WAS a mid-90s MMORPG that spawned a new universe somehow...?)

I think we should pause a bit in the main game to let Omegaho catch up...

Sure. I'll halt play once we're over the bridge.

With the main game paused,I'll be running a Q&A in this thread. So,is there anything you want to know about the mission or the broader lore?

May I also suggest that the title of the thread be edited to something like "Agents of L.U.S.T.: The Solstice Ritual"? I think it is going to get super unwieldy if each mission happens in the same thread.

Very little. Like said in the introduction, the humans have a king, the centaurs have a chief, the satyrs a tribal council and the Sthosi a theocracy, but there's little known beyond that. I will tell you, though, that-
The human king is incompotent. His sister would be a much better ruler, but it's a male-descent monarchy, so she can't take the throne while he lives.
The satyr council is made up of a chieftess who is preparing to retire, a seeress who is new to the role, and a somewhat reactionary chief hunter.
The centaur chief is a good leader, he knows a little about everything that the tribe does and he's also something of a party animal, and unfortunately also a bit of a racial supremacist...
The Sthosi religion is based aound four gods, and so is their theocratic government. The most important priest takes no part in the government, preferring to pray, the most important priestess is an arch-conservative, and the other two are somewhat more liberal.
