So I had this idea for a new tale, kind of a writing challenge: the tale starts out with the title above, and then the words 'You Died' and from there goes on to explain what is going on: Basically your new existence is as a DJ for a universe, in which part of yourself lives as a mortal, controlled by the music your over-soul plays. Here's where the writing challenge part comes in: Each thread thereafter must have a title that is 5 to 15 words taken from the lyrics of an actual song, any song, but must somehow directly relate to the content of the thread, and the name of the song it is taken from must be placed at the top or bottom of the thread as a 'header' with "###". People adding to the story can 'Score Points' by 'chaining' longer and longer segments of lyrics, with a 'Hat's Off' being to use the lyrics of an entire song and worth 50 points while each thread after the first in a chain that the owner deems the title to have been correctly related to it's content is worth 1 more point than the one which preceded it, but any which are NOT relevant 'breaking the chain' though you can still score a 'Hat's Off' as long as at least 50% of the threads were correctly related. Points have no kind of prize or reward, EXCEPT bragging rights: with a thread in the forums publishing a daily leader board and current 'Lord/Lady of All Music' along with a few other statistics like most popular artists and list of 'Overplayed Songs'... One word of caution before I ask for suggestions: Only the LITERAL meaning of the words of a thread title is used to judge relevance: no 'psychedelia subtext' or references to obscure events going on when the song was written will be accepted. Now: does this sound like as much of a blast to anyone else as it does to me?
This does sound entertaining: but I'm to busy to do it: is anyone else interested in taking up this idea?
