I made a little chapter for that story. It kind of sucks, but it's all set-up for the next chapter. It's about Lois Lane meeting this non-descipt guy named "John Doe," and Miss Lane is probably a bit more polite than usual, but she barely knows this guy so I can't imagine her treating him the way she would treat Clark Kent. Anyway, I could have established that it was pouring rain outside, but I didn't. I just had it come up in dialogue. Basically Lois is drenched by the rain and it's implied that she's been looking for a man named "John Doe," so she went from door to door in the pouring rain, looking for him.

John Doe was having some small talk with Lois, before revealing his identity to her. And he asks her, "What is this about?" and she says, "I just need to ask you a few questions," now because this is a set-up story we have Lois Lane changing out of wet clothes within the privacy of John's master-bedroom. But John doesn't watch her change. Instead he leaves the master-bedroom and shuts the door firmly behind him, Lois then proceeds to lock the door...When she emerges from the bedroom, she asks John if he's ready to answer a few questions and he asks, "Is this on the record?" to which she replied, "Of course, it is."

So, anyway that's my chapter. It took forever to get it approved by the original author. But now it's approved and I'm just waiting for somebody to add onto my story. That's why I wrote about my chapter in this forum. I hope somebody adds onto my chapter and makes the questions that Lois Lane is about to ask him, good. :)

I was considering adding to it, but when I went to look for your chapter, all I found from you was a section entitled NO <TITLE> with no associated text.

Well, I tried to edit my chapter, in order to make it a little bit better but I ran into some problems. The chapter was blending the older dialogue together with the new sentences I just wrote and it wouldn't let me delete my older sentences so I just deleted the chapter altogether. Maybe I'll go back to it someday but I'm not really a good writer. And I'm not really sure how to write the animated series' Lois Lane's personality...She's kind of a tough one for me to get right.

Okay, I re-wrote my chapter. It's kind of short but it's the best I could do considering my writing abilities or lack there of.

Glad that you didn't just delete it, and, based on that small chapter, your writing abilities seem fine.

Yeah, well, I didn't write any dialogue yet because I'm not sure how to encompass Lois Lane's personality. I'm not sure what Lois Lane is going to call the main character because he's not from Smallville, Kansas. I was thinking about using my hometown of Lake Elmo, Minnesota as a possible nickname, but what should she say? "Lake Elmo," or "Lake Elmo, boy," or "Minnesotan,"? I'm not sure. I'm not sure at all, how to make the reader feel like he or she is reading Lois Lane interacting with this man.

I've added a little more detail to my small chapter and now I'm happy with it. :)

I'd be tempted not to go with your own home town, since it's a second person story and the majority of readers don't come from there, so it will be kind of jarring. Also, I'm fairly sure that the home town thing is reserved for Clark Kent (I'm sure Perry and Jimmy she just calls by their names, rather than their home towns, but I've not seen a lot of the animated series). If you really need her to call the main character anything (are robo-sluts really that hung up on names?) you could always go with some tacky variation ("Ooooooh, I think I'll call you Bigville").

Well, I'm tempted to have Lois Lane call the main character "Johnny," since his name is John in most stories. But I don't know if I'd continue to have his last name be "Doe," because it is kind of a girly last name... :)
