1-25 threads takes 93% of CHYOA. It might look better if that 4 threads or less was down, so stories feel a little more complete. Writing 25-50+ threads can seem daunting to new writers. You take what you are given I suppose.
If you assume, that every story with a depth of 4 or less would have an average of 8 chapters, it would be less than 10% of all chapters. This would be around 30,000 chapters... Within the last year, more than 1,450 new stories and more than 67,000 new chapters were published. So I guess, it's not a big deal to have some low depth stories.
Let's not forget that there's a number of stories with similar premises (a lot of the celebrity stories could be merged) so it doesn't mean much to me. It depends on what the story accomplishes in terms of background: some are lengthy and have detailed character descriptions, some are just "dude got powers" or "girl is horny" or nothing. Some of my stories have multiple branches and I wonder if it would be better to split those into different stories but the four or less ones should be checked to see if they aren't just abandoned and maybe someone else can take those on.
