I'm looking for feedback on my story as the comments and likes tell me some about which branches people like, but not why. Also I don't want every branch to go super deep and have a lot of the same stories with just character names, locations, or costume changes. Any thoughts on closing out a branch with an epilogue that has a sketch of what's to come with room for other writers to add on to and readers to use their imaginations? Is it better to just leave some branches unfinished? Here is the story https://chyoa.com/story/Becoming-a-bitch.24993
Link to story would help. Closing out a branch you don't want to continue is fine, so is letting it hang, or including a link chapter to take the user back to the beginning or to see the story continued from another perspective in a different branch. You might want to experiment, or look at other stories on CHYOA to see how they handle that sort of thing and see which way you like it best. For myself, I like a lot of branches, and intend to close them all off...eventually. But you need to do what works best for you.
I actually already read some of yours. To give a full break down is complicated. Personally, I thought the pacing was just somewhat abrupt at times and it seemed like the character would “break” just a bit too quickly, but some people prefer a faster pace, so I have no clue. It’s only my opinion and I could be looking at it wrong. Could you provide a link to it so other people can see it and give their thoughts?
https://chyoa.com/story/Becoming-a-bitch.24993 I do see your point. The earlier chapters especially are intended for fans of more quick reads. I have other branches that build over time and it's those I was thinking of in terms of ending. The early chapters will eventually be edited and expanded. Thanks for the input.
