So the example I'm using is from the character I used on my discord server, or at least an incarnation of her. She'll be a major npc if I end up gm'ing(Unless killed off) or my player character if someone else decides to do it. In the event of an npc, her stats will be bumped up, but they will be standard for regular players if I'm taking direct control of her. Name: Raziya Amenssess Gender: Female True Faction: Yet to be revealed Personality/History: "Work until you fall and your hands are reduced to the bone.. I, Raziya Amensses, first princess of Thiata, command it." The eldest and wisest daughter of the pharaoh, it can be said that she's among the select few of her siblings that actually has an idea how a kingdom should be ran. She has all the education and intelligence to manage a realm and keep it running economically while working through the intricacies of political alliances...what can't be said, is that she has any desire or willingness to think about anyone other than herself. Even those brave enough to call her selfish and cruel to her face, she won't argue with. She'll wholeheartedly agree that she thinks she's better than other people. Because why wouldn't she be? Her belief in life is that she can't be spoiled due to the fact whatever she wants, she should have simply because she deserves them. Of course, there's many who wish to see her taken down a peg and fall off her high horse. However, she also contracts an odd amount of support from councilors and others for the fact she's actually competent at keeping things running. While there are plenty of nicer family members, there's very few with the knowledge to run things properly even if they're intentions are good while having a heart icy enough to be able to make difficult decisions. Her lack of empathy to others is viewed as a talent by some, but she also doesn't usually go out of her way to make pointlessly cruel and sadistic decisions unlike some of her brothers. The general assessment is, she's selfish and narcissistic, but not wholly evil. Just kind of...a bitch. Towards her own family, she believes it's her duty to groom her siblings to act as potential future rulers, whether they want her to or not. While knowledgeable of how things should work, her own tendency to prioritize the well being of herself and by extension her own family, sets back on how effective she could really be at governing if left to her own devices. She also tries to encourage the younger ones to put themselves before other people, due to her sincere belief that anyone who isn't them, is inherently inferior by default. While vain and narcissistic, those who assume this means this makes her an easy target to manipulate end up learning the hard way that while they're playing their games, she's playing hers. It's one of the few things all the back biters and scheming toadies in Thiata agree on. Do not play her game. You will lose. Skills: Distribute 5 skill points to the skills of your choice. Your best skill remains hidden to other players until actually used and is only known to you and the gm before it's sprung upon in the game. Before that, leave people guessing. You don't need to have the powers to win every engagement...only to let other people think you might. Depending on the npcs, they could be aware of what a characters talents are and it's possible for them to get discovered early on by other based on certain events, like factions. Key skills are sort of unique in that they will always be your best skill so you only really need one point to spend and they will be surged to be your highest stat, so really. You can get away with spending 4 points on other skills, and only need one for your primary talent. I'm still unsure if this is the right way to handle this or not, and would like to hear other thoughts. Maybe it will even be allowed to be maxed at three making a character exceptional at it, but at the cost of points elsewhere in that case. I'm undecided on the exact way to go about doing it, currently. If it ties with another skill, choose one to obfuscate. I'm still undecided of the best way to do this exactly mind you, so rules may be subject to change depending on how people feel about them. Key Skill: Currently hidden Other skills: Sorceress** Administration* Manipulation* Equipment/gold: The society they live in is heavily based on trading. Coins exist, but much of it runs on trading goods such as grain and oil rather than a hard currency based system. Equipment and rings are used as frequently for trading among other things. Okay, let's see if I did this right: Name: Kellia Cindaer Gender: Female (click to see at a higher size) Spoiler: Kellia with her face uncovered Spoiler: Kellia naked Race: Half-elf (~half Human and ~half Desert Elf) True Faction: Unknown Personality and History: The eldest daughter of the Cindaer family and the one most involved in managing their lands, helping their mother Lothia with whatever she can. Both of her parents are (or were, in the case of her deceased father) half-elves. She has a couple of younger sisters, but both of them are more into combat than administration, so they have no problem leaving the administrative stuff to Kellia and their mother. Kellia doesn't remember her father, as she was very little when he died. She is a loving daughter and sister, and does her best to support her mother and her siblings any way she can. She tries to be helpful when dealing with others and has healed people on multiple occasions, but will not hesitate to put her family above all else, if necessary The Cindaer family are minor nobles, but Kellia believes that they could earn a higher rank, and with it a bit more influence. Not too much – she's not greedy and has no desire to become a high-value target – but enough to benefit their family. Key skill: Hidden Skills: Spellcasting * Seduction * Persuasion * Administration * Inventory: Enchanted Noble's dress (minor enchantment to make it more difficult to damage) Enchanted Wooden Quarterstaff (a minor enchantment that makes it as hard as steel and thus more difficult to damage or break, nothing more) Ornamented Ceremonial Crystal Dagger (a minor enchantment that makes it as hard as steel and thus more difficult to damage or break, nothing more) – technically a backup weapon but really just for show Why, yes, Kellia has a thing for enchanting items to make them more difficult to damage/destroy, how did you know? Hard No: Spoiler Gore Vore Vomit Amputee Diapers Major transformation (I'm fine with a woman temporarily growing a dick; I'm not fine with that same woman getting permanently transformed into... a doll, or something) I am also not interested in my character getting pregnant, but I'm fine with other characters being pregnant. As far as any other fetishes I can think of right now, I'm fine with pretty much anything... in moderation. Even things such as watersports or scat, as long as they happen only on occasion and are not too focused on. NTR – fine if my character is doing it or is watching as it happens to someone, but not so fine if she's the target of (unavoidable) NTR Kellia is also not above using some of the above fetishes as a threat, such as threatening a woman to give her an enema in front of a crowd if she refuses to cooperate, even if Kellia likely won't follow through on the threat. There's more stuff, but it's only for the GM and will be sent later.
Name: Thea Mirella Gender: Female Race: Half-Succubus Half-Elf Spoiler https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/3664938/ True Faction: Neutral Personality/History: Leaving her home once she was of age. Thea's personality is laid back, though as a wanderer she's more than used to dealing with others. And she can easily turn into a more serious person, should the need arise. But she prefers being friendly, while also having a keen interest in magic. Moving from place to place in search of magical artifacts, or grimoires. Thea's managed to learn a few spells, while also picking up a few skills she's managed to hone thanks to dealing with merchants and traders. Though her succubus blood helped, it's also brough in its fair share of problems. Especially whenever weak minded people saw her, they'd instantly be captivated. Thea wasn't afraid of using her "charms" to her advantage, but sometimes things would get out of control. Especially with her innate succubus abilities, which drained her lovers... or assaulters. To save herself from unwillingly killing people, while also helping her with her goals. Thea managed to keep herself from draining a person's life force, instead, she'd drain their mana, or their stamina, which recovers by itself overtime. Sadly, with her growing powers. So too did her other abilities, which just made people want her that much more. Forcing Thea to wear a cloak that hides her body, and sometimes she uses a hood which hides her face as well. Key Skill: Currently hidden* Skills: Spellcasting* Bartering* Mana Drain* Enticing appearance* Equipment/gold: Light clothes, Black cloak, Satchel. Spoiler: Hard No Vore Sexualized Gore Scat Diapers Permanent Physical transformations (Edit: Added link to pic, since it doesn't want to appear for others.)
Kay, looks good. Once we get one more person ready, I'll try starting. I don't know who still plans on doing this or not, but all the bridges in my brain are starting to build with each other and I'll think of things for them to do even if they end up joining a little bit late.
Name: Arsenios Gender: male True Faction: Unkown Personality/History: The Kingdom of Caria was one of many small realms wedged in between the ever-expanding Thiata Empire and the Sanguine Confederation. All these smaller realms were plagued by vampire raids from the Confederation and with the Empire starting a new surge of expansionism, the rulers of the realms had sought to forge an Alliance against both of these long-time threats, forming the Protectorate. Arsenios was the son of a concubine to the last king Agathon IV, making him the bastard half-brother of Nikolaos III, King of Caria. Only a scant few years older than his nephew, Crown Prince Xanthos, Arsenios became more like an older brother to Xanthos than his uncle. Despite his status as a bastard, the Royal family tacitly accepted him, though he was never made Agathon IV's legal son. Finding him apt at military matters at a young age, Nikolaos groomed his young brother to be his sword and shield. Arsenios was instructed in strategy and tactics, learned sword, shield, bow and horse riding. He developed a loyalty to the Royal family and a deep friendship with Xanthos. Being a bastard, he never took to the finer etiquette of court-life, being boisterous and sometimes out-right rude. He was more at home on the field, though, he did learn when it was best to hold his tongue and swallow his pride in the presence of people with more power. Despite not being the most courteous man in the realm, he was still compassionate and ready to render aid quickly. One defining moment of his youth was the abduction of his older half-sister, Kallisto. The vampires took her to the Confederation, her fate unknown ever since. Arsenios developed a fierce hatred of the undead creatures, leading the royal guard's efforts to defend against the vampire raids and hunt down any vampire living among them. Key Skill: Currently hidden Other skills: Martial Weapons skills (sword, shield, spear, bow) * Athletics * Strategy and tactics * Cavalry skiils (horse-riding, lance) * Equipment/gold: Bronze armour, Spear and Shield, short-sword sidearm coin pouch (enough to last a while on the road) [I wasn't sure if everybody was supposed to be in the Thiathan capital. I can make him to be on a diplomatic mission to Thiata or have him captured in the war and in the Imperial dungeon if that's more convenient.]
Name: Kjito Borjigin Gender: Female True Faction: Yet to be revealed Personality/History: Kjito was born on the vast plains to the south of Thiata, into a tribe of warriors. During one of Thiata's many wars against the southern kingdoms, a group of steppe archers hired as mercenaries by the pharoah descended upon Kjito's village, destroying it and killing or enslaving the populace. Taking pity on the young girl, the Khan of the mercenary band decided to adopt Kjito, instead of making her a slave. She was given a single day to mourn and say goodbye to her old life. The next day, she was put on the back of a horse, and trained to ride. For years, she trained as a warrior, learning to use a bow from horseback, and how to wield a sword, along with how to lead an armed force. Fighting many times as an auxiliary in the Thiatan army, Kjito, though not having assimilated by any means, has learned much about the culture, becoming fluent in the language, able to read and write their hieroglyphics. Through accompanying her adoptive father to meetings with Thiatan nobles, she's come to somewhat understand how one is expected to behave in their presence. Fresh from a successful campaign against the vampires, Kjito has arrived back in the Thiatan capital, celebrating with her fellow warriors. She now ponders about her future, seeking to rise high in this wealthy kingdom. Name: Sakhmet Amenssess Gender: Female Age: 18 True Faction: Unknown Personality/History: "She's intelligent and skilled, but she would buy an oasis in the desert before setting eyes on it." As the Sixth Daughter of the Pharaoh, Sakhmet spent her entire life growing up within Raziya's shadow. Anything that she did and accomplished was quickly overshadowed or ignored due to the skill of her older sister. For most, that would be a source of enmity and rivalry and maybe there was a bit of that there, but Sakhment absolutely adored her oldest sister. She often spent her time following Raziya and praising her achievements or fawning over past accomplishments. Such things frustrated her oldest sibling who wanted Sakhment to start acting the part of a princess and better prepare herself to govern. On top of that, she quickly became a bit of a joke to her other siblings. Sakhmet was extremely gullible and easily coerced into pranks and other antics. Once she reached her teenage years, it was discovered that she was adept at magic...like most of her family and was sent away from the court to hone her arts. She returned with much more knowledgable about history and the divine and some skill in magecraft. However, it did not seem to help her naivety. Despite her gullibility, she still holds herself in high regard. She's a princess and acts like it when she's not around her sister...Although she often tries a bit too hard to act regal and just ends up being a jerk instead. Key Skill: Hidden Other skills: Sorceress* Knowledge of the Divine* Interrogation* Stave Combat* Equipment/gold: Priestess gown Gaudy Jewelry (she was told it was real gold) Staff with a carved Jackal Head on the tip.
So if a certain pharoah made his appearance, she wouldn't be head over heels over him. While trying to get him to praise her?
It's largely the kind of character I wanted to play already. I wanted to play a younger sorceress who lives in the shadow of her sister.I did draw inspiration from Fate/Grand Order's Nitocris. Mostly her looks and some of her personality traits(fawning over her sister like Nitocris does with Ozymandias was honestly coincidental). Her skills were just kind of obvious with everything involved.
Honestly, never got into the Fates series at all. The whole premise of it just came across as "It's Alexander, BUT a girl! It's Lu Bu, BUT a girl!" ...just came off as waifu baity to me and while I played the games and did find them fun, story wise, Fates didn't seem any different than any other anime, but I do like a lot of the character designs even if I think the premise of it as a whole is just...kind of dumb. But aside from that...yeah... That purple haired rider woman is....
Naw, Alexander the great is a male. Lu Bu is a male. It's king arthur that's a female... along with a few others. And purple haired rider is Medusa.
Mm. Just a lot of it feels like it's whole bit is just gender flipping historical figures and trying to paint established pyschopaths as somehow good people so they can act as waifus....yeah, I get it's a popular series. Just not for me. The battles and stuff can be cool...but I haven't really seen anything about it that makes it anything special from other anime or actually goes outside of the usual formula. Like...yeah. I find the character designs to be generally good...but the characters themselves are...for the most part, are just not really noteworthy in my brain in anyway. That's just my own stupid opinion though.
Despite being a fan of Fate in general, I actually agree with you in this regard. There is a lot of characters that were historically bad that the series has either made them somehow good, bad for good reasons or just joke characters. There's only a few characters that are actually Evil and don't have an asterisk beside that Evil Nah, it's all a valid opinion.
This is actually why Septem was the worst out of the singularitues. They made Nero so great and innocent that even Boudica agrees with her.
Name: Chike Seddik Gender: Male True Faction: Currently Unknown Personality/History: "Beware the chaos of the soft spoken when they are forced to be loud." At first glance, Chike seems a very quiet and obedient young man... which he is as far as the royal family and any woman who approaches him is concerned. In fact, he is so meek and submissive in most cases that some whisper that he is less a court magician and more some toy for the various Princesses to tease and use for their own gratification (which he may very well be, depending on their tastes in such things). However, those who do speak with him about magic quickly learn he is legitimately knowledgeable in that field and can perform many rituals, as well as counter-spells to curses that may be inflicted on any of the royals he serves. On top of that, some of the kingdom's mightiest warriors actually seem afraid of him, as if there were something under the surface of this seemly shy and harmless young man that they dare not provoke. When asked why, all they do is point fearfully at the snake head tattoo he has on his collarbone. Key Skill: Hidden Other Skills: Counter-Spell Knowledge* Magic Ritual Knowledge* Submissive Behavior* Equipment: Court Magician Robes Jeweled Magic Enhancing Armbands Mark of Apophis (collarbone tattoo)
Okay, that looks all fine. Is submissive behavior an actual skill though? Do you mean like how well he presents as being soft? Might need a bit to think of how his role plays into things since I'm still not too sure what his actual standing is.Is he a noble? Servant?
I was trying to think of how to describe "knows how to act and skillfully perform as the submissive in sexual encounters" and that was what came to mind. And he is... I imagine it's one of those situations where, as a Court Magician he's TECHNICALLY nobility but in practice he may as well be a glorified servant.
