I have a few game mode stories in my favorites, so I receive notifications when they are updated. However, I receive a notification for each individual link chapter added, and for longer, more developed stories there can be a dozen or more necessary for each update. If it was possible to only receive notifications for *content* chapters, that would be excellent.
Depending on how the story is structured, a new link chapter can basically link to a chapter that now has additional content. (E.g. you add 500 words to a hub chapter and then add a chapter link to it.) So I would prefer a solution that reduces the number of notifications you get from updates since your last visit instead of just ignoring link chapters.
