"Breaking the Amazon"

    Greetings, CHYOA.

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has taken the time to read "Breaking the Amazon" so far. I recognize the themes aren't to everyone's tastes, but I've tried to invest the story with a decent amount of variety and allow for some less harsh threads to permeate. Along those lines, I'm planning a rewrite of one of the interrogation threads (the one leading through "The oil of the Sedavra pepper") so that there's at least one way through that's a bit more playful and less sadistic.

There will unquestionably also be some threads that are the opposite, but I've tried to make it reasonably clear where things are likely to go. Stories like this are supposed to be about choice, whether one's fantasies tend more towards seduction or domination.

Mmm, along those lines I should also be clear that the "protagonist's" views, while conducive to the atmosphere and action of the story, are not necessarily the author's. I quite like women. And I'm a teddy bear in person. Well, except perhaps in bed.

Anyway, in closing I wanted to note that I'm going to be travelling for a couple of weeks, and my Internet access is likely to be of variable quality during that time, and my time to write likely curtailed. Rest assured that the story is not abandoned, and it is my hope in the long run to lead every single thread to some sort of ending.

    Thanks again for reading.

I like the story very much. I envy your branching style and ability to actually write conclusions into your story, I don't know that I'll ever have a real conclusion to one of my threads, but it works and gives Breaking the Amazon definition.

Thank you, CanadaDr1. I admire the level of detail you've given a lot of your threads, so I really appreciate the compliment.

Just a quick note: Chapter 6.1, "From the front, penetrate her sex" (on the "Sedavra pepper" interrogation branch) has finally undergone the above-mentioned revision to make for a thread that is more submissive than violent. I hope the revision finds favor with anyone who deems to read it.

    A few broad notes:

My hope is that, in time, I will write at least two branches for every entry that doesn't lead immediately to an ending. My productivity in this regard naturally wanes and waxes, but I think it's likely that the story will effectively be "complete" within the next few months. (Just don't hold me to that or place any bets. The universe laughs when you make plans.)

Inevitably, there may be a certain amount of repetition within the options, but I will endeavor that every branch will be sufficiently interesting and unique as to be worth the exploration.

As I had an inquiry, my intent is that I will be the only writer for this story; I apologize if I may have selected any of the incorrect "options" on the initial write in this regard. And this should definitely NOT be taken by anyone as a suggestion that I view my writing as somehow superior or sacrosanct; there are many fine writers on CHYOA, and I hope to write more open stories in the future.

However, this brings me to my final point: I'm hoping that some time in the future I may create a commercially available, illustrated version of "Breaking the Amazon", probably with musical score and sound effects. If and when such a thing comes about, it will probably be distributed through the Japanese company DLSite, with whom I have a pre-existing relationship. It's also my intent that 10% of the first month's profits from the work should be donated to the CHYOA Patreon.

    Cheers!
