When I go to one of my story cover pages and click through one of the tag links, it does a tag search (good) returning all stories with that tag (OK I guess; it might be better to do a thread-search within the current story, but that counts as a suggestion). The problem I have is that a story having a thread with a particular tag, say "postillionage", pardon my French, shows up with the "Results as Stories" setting but does not show up in the "Results as Threads" section consistently. postillionage-by-story : 1 hit. postillionage-by-thread : 0 hits. (as of 14-Dec-2014). Tags by thread are not completely missing, see: rimming-by-thread : 3 threads from 3 different stories but there are more stories whose threads are not returned rimming-by-story : 10 stories. If I find an unindexed thread, should I edit and resubmit it to see if it gets reindexed? -Z.
Thanks for the report. It takes around one day until threads are indexed. That's probably the reason for the 0 hits when you've performed the search. I now see results for it. But I take this as a suggestion and will decrease the indexing time.
I had compared the results by thread with the results by story three times over a week and had thought the inconsistencies were stuck, but as you say, the results for my sample queries are looking good. Apparently I was wrong in assuming that threads and stories were indexed on the same cycle. Thanks much! -Z.
