The story I have planned does feature the murder of a celebrity by a crazed fan. It's post coital i.e. not during a sexual act but soon after and makes sense within the story and the violence happens off-stage but obviously the aftermath is witnessed but with no lingering. It does fit in well with the story, is not a random act and has the gravest consequences for anyone involved.
