I have currently disabled voting for this since some seem of the writers seem to to oppose this idea. If you like this idea then like this post. Discussion is also welcome on how to make it work.
I think this simply DOESN'T work. By enabling this feature you essentially make every story 'public'. You also lose the purpose of saving a chapter as draft; to whit, writing the chapter in private for editing and design to happen behind closed doors. The only way I see that this could be of benefit is if you restrict it to chapters submitted but not yet approved, and have a check Mark in the story creation to enable the feature...
If such a behavior is wished by the author, they could publish a chapter draft with the note like "Chapter in progress. You can give feedback while I'm writing."
This is the perfect solution IMHO, and requires no new functionality. (However I would say that to work properly you would have to put the note in the title...)
If i understand this correctly, the suggestion is just labeled in a very confusing way: It should be named: Suggestion: Remove 'Save as Draft'!
I Thought I had commented on that already. Might have been in another thread. It's an horrible idea. It removes an useful function.
Could we have a link to the idea so that people who haven't seen the original thread can view it and add their opinions?
