CHYOA Discord Fan Server

Hey Chyoa members,

Since joining this community about a month ago I've thought that this community could really benefit from a Discord server, for everyone to more efficiently share ideas and stories, comment on new stories and help each other improve and give feedback!

I created a discord server for a similar purpose a while back, though it's more targeted towards authors who focus more on the storytelling of erotica and adult interactive fiction.

Checked out both of them. They seem pretty good, though one of them is obviously much larger.

Until discord adds multi-account support, many people cannot use it for this purpose. You can't have your work account and your account for this be the same.

 

There's nothing stopping you from making a second account. It's not against their TOS or anything.

 

I have a second account just under this nickname for these... sorts of things.

Not that I use my other account much at all heh.

 

Isn't Discord just another chat board anyways?

 

There is no integrated account switching capability. So having multiple accounts requires tons of logging in an logging out manually every time.

 

That's not the same as "many people [being] unable to use it for this purpose." I think enough people are happy to spend the ten seconds logging out and in to not significantly affect the server's popularity.

 

Logging in and out doesn't seem to be a good solution.

But you can use the Desktop App for your first account and a browser for your second account.
Or you use two (or more) different browsers for different accounts.

This should work similarly on mobile.

 

This discord has been getting more active lately, nice to see.

Sure, a decent portion of the activity is me discussing the difference between MILFs and cougars, but still, it's fun!

 

MILFs are the hunted, cougars the hunters... pretty easy

 

Happily enough, this was the consensus we reached as well. A veritable council of elders in the discord
