I'm not sure how recently it happened, but I went to check out the tier to get a story featured and found the Patreon link now says, "this page has been removed." I'm sure the owners of the site are already aware of this, and have probably considered it already, but I wanted to suggest using an alternate site like SubscribeStar. They don't get as much traffic, but they also don't have the same policies against incest, non-con, and that kind of thing. Perhaps there are even better ways to keep the lights on, but at the minimum, I enjoy this site quite a bit and hope to see it continue!
Agreed, I've been a backer for a long time and I'd be willing to move to a new service if that's what it took
Thanks for your support! Our Patreon page was disabled by Patreon on Wednesday. I then filed an appeal on the same day. I'm still waiting for the final decision.
Sadly, it was probably the incest and noncon that did it. I know of many NSFW projects that have had to migrate to something like SubscribeStar where the rules are a little more lax. I'm not sure how someone like the creator of Corruption of Champions(https://www.patreon.com/user?u=121401) can get away with making interactive fiction and being paid thousands of dollars a month that also has noncon themes, but Chyoa can't*. I'm guessing just the general visibility of it. *(Don't get me wrong. I enjoy Fenoxo's work and it's great he has found so much success)
It's also the reason why so many erotic Patreon-supported games have unofficial ("unofficial") incest patches. (...Though if you check the code (which I do often (for some reason (don't ask (oh god)))), you find it often doesn't amount to much more than setting 'incest = true'.)

CHYOA has incest porn, and I suppose that by itself would be enough of a foul by Patreon rules. Shame.

The quoted response from Patreon stated "we do not allow pornographic content," which would make it impossible for CHYOA to use Patreon since CHYOA is a porn story database. The statement about not allowing "pornographic content" is an outrageous lie on Patreon's part since they literally host thousands of porn games. I personally support several porn games on Patreon. That said, if they don't want CHYOA's business then I see no reason why CHYOA should continue to support them. Just switch to Subscribestar instead since they don't seem to object to getting business there and also don't seem to censor content.
