I just spent the better part of six hours writing this huge rambling first chapter of this story, and I freely admit I think I've bit off more than I can chew. In basic, we have this guy. Non-specific 21 year old male recent college graduate who had just been given the advance on a three book series. He buys a house in the south side of the fictitious City of Westhaven Ohio: this huge sprawling farmhouse off of "Milk Street". As he goes for his morning run the next day he catches his neighbors out at the bus stop with their kids, most of which turn out to be total MILFs or young G-MILFs. One by one they stop by his house that day to give him "Welcoming Gifts" and he discovers that out of 21 houses on his block or the culdisacs off of that part of Milk Street (only 7 of which now remain vacant) there are only 4 other adult men, 2 of which are a gay couple, 1 is married, (but I'm still debating whether or not he and his wife are "swingers",) and the forth is an agoraphobic shut-in who does teleoperational Cyber Security for a living. This puts into a WHOLE NEW PERSPECTIVE the spray paint on the street sign at one end of the block: "MILF Street"... Thing is, I'm pretty sure I've bit off a lot more than I can chew here. I mean, 14 potential partners? Have I gone CRAZY? Oh and let's not forget the FIVE meta-plots: 1: The protagonist's new house is haunted, but not like a horror movie, the REAL kind of haunted: unexplained cold spots, feelings of being watched, flooring occasionally creaks* for no reason... *(Not like someone walking down the hall when no one's there, just an isolated creak that you could discount as the house settling, except somehow, in the back of your mind, your instincts tell you that isn't it...) 2: The protagonist's bought a half dozen other properties in the area and is making renovations. 3: The city is being stalked by an incredibly-ethical* Serial-Arsonist known as "Calamity Joe" in the media... *(Ethical in that when "Calamity Joe" burns down a building it always is one that's: A: structurally unsound, B: seen as a nuisance property by the neighborhood, and, C: completely devoid of human occupants at the time...) 4: The protagonist's writing a Cthulhu Mythos/Japanese Folklore crossover historical-fantasy novel series. 5: The protagonist's new house used to belong to an Investigative Journalist who may/may not have been murdered to cover up a corruption scandal she was digging into for the Associated Press... As you can see from the pole above, there are a lot of ways you could help with the story: they are listed more or less in order of priorities, first and foremost I need people who will add chapters, and so forth down the list. I am quite willing to do "art trades", though as usual I'm not willing to compromise my principles on what kind of content I'll write... I feel that a story this big will need at least 2 people besides myself assisting to make it viable, so anyone who wants early access to contribute or otherwise assist, just drop me a line here or in a PM: either on the main site or the forums... Please, for the love of whatever gods you worship: HELP!!!
Currently, I don't see a twist in the setting. Given the number of occupied houses, I assume that there are 11 women in total. 10 of them living alone with their children and only one with their husband. Makes at least 10 sex-starved women who'd probably be happy to take advantage of the protagonist and take turns on him. If this is the intention, it won't be a story of my taste. Some thoughts on details ("sprawling farmhouse" sounds more rural than suburban to me, so I assumed a rural environment in my thoughts): The protagonist is 21 and just finished education. Who would allow him to write a series of 3 books? I could imagine someone who published a bestseller one or two years ago and has to write that series now. After writing the first half of the first book he has a writer's block and wasn't able to write a paragraph within months. To get his muse back, he moved to an inspirational environment (maybe a rural farmhouse with a small lake nearby). The protagonist is 21, just finished education and is already able to afford a farmhouse? I could imagine that he just have a room as a lodger and getting meals from one of the women. She could also provide an additional secluded "boathouse" (or sth) which he can use for writing. This could lead to tensions with his female landlord when he has visitors. That high percentage of single mothers seem to have a reason. Some women could be widows, others could have a boring husband, but it would still feel strange. I think that more actual couples would sound more natural (they could have problems). This could lead to tensions but would probably some amount of cheating and/or cuckolding. (I could also think of kind of a women's house (maybe an old hotel) where the protagonist is the janitor to get a cheap room) Street sign: Probably both names fit ^^ Not sure about the meta-plots. How many chapters would be necessary if you want to "complete" all of them with 11 potential partners? (And there are obviously more houses to fill with milfs)
Is this supposed to become a linear story? With all those ideas and subplots, even a simple sex scene branch could lead to the frustrating feeling of having to copy everything a second branch develops.
The more I read, the more interesting concept it is. Well... while the main concept is quite... common, it's the meta-plots that I find interesting. The fourth point could be expanded into Stephen King's kind of horror story. F.e. the main character writes a story in his house about tentacle monster/man-eating plant/brain eater/etc. , and while he writes that, the said creature/situation starts happening to one of the neighboring MILF's... Then the main hero starts to investigate why people start to disappear in his neighborhood while continuing his hobby (writing stories). 1st point seems to connect with 5th point... Like Main hero investigating (cause he's FBI/family/journalist) suspects responsible for the death/disappearance of the journalist. All this while ghost gives a tip (a letter, a picture, a tape) here and there, so that the MC discovers one secret after the other, discovering the ugly side of Milk street. All the nice ladies have secrets and to protect them, they would...
Humm, I'm not sure about this being turned into an erotic horror story, but, it does definitely sound like you have some great ideas there...
If you aren't sure about erotic horror, I would be happy to borrow that idea and make it into a story of its own...
... I'm kind of possessive about this one, but I Tell you what, I'll add you as an editor to the story and see how you develop it: if it turns out decent by 10 chapters in I'll move you up to Co-owner and publish: fair?
