It seems a lot of people use this site for stroke material. I notice chapters with sex get more likes than set-up chapters or non-sexual chapters. 2) Is it OK to use the same photo in different stories and assign different names and roles to the people in the photo? Say a stock photo of people sitting in the park.
I noticed that too, chapter with sex or erotic stuff are more popular, but this normal on this site. To secend part, I don't think it would be a problem. I first read what writer descripe to me, secend is picture.
Yeah I've also noticed that. I will say: I think sometimes people are a little discerning. Every now and then I like to compare my sex chapters in the same story and try to find the difference between what people like and what they don't. It can be a challenge sometimes, but it's also interesting. Though, often, it's just your earlier in the story stuff is the stuff people will like more regardless due to exposure. As for pictures, I don't think there would be any problem with doing that, unless you think people are getting real attached to that appearance for a particular character in your story and then are going to read the next one. They could be like "but wait, I liked Selena, I can't get with this new Clarice that looks like her!" Granted, if your stories are popular enough, maybe that's an issue for you. I doubt anybody would really mind, personally.
I think this just makes sense, even outside the context of this site and it's content. If you think about your favorite movie or book, if you were going to "Like" a part of it, it's probably some climactic (pun intended) scene/chapter or ones set apart from the rest of the story that most defines it's genre. For a site geared toward erotica, it makes sense that the sexy bits are what people "like" the most. This doesn't diminish the set-up or scenes/chapters around it as they should build up the anticipation for the sexy bits, but the final fight/chase, dramatic speech, hilarious moment(s) will be the things people remember and like, even if they like or love the story overall. I don't know how many times I've had a favorite or familiar movie playing in the background on TV and will stop to watch "that one scene".

Well, I KNOW that a lot of people use the site for stroke material, so... I kinda just embraced it. There's a definite uptick in views and likes every time I post a sex scene, and the fact I explicitly point out every single time I'm writing a sex scene kinda tips the scale a bit. I don't mind, I know what MOST people are reading me for, and I'm ok with that. My favorite scenes aren't the popular ones, however. I must have Reread Eris' speech in the Helen ending at least a hundred times, and it keeps getting better every time I read it. I must have rewritten that particular part at least a dozen times over a week before posting it and agonized over it. Reminds me of the time Heinlein talked about filling out a huge ream of butcher paper with calculations for ONE line of a short story... which most people missed anyway, but it still was a good story and he had a better story to tell people about how it was written.
