Honestly wasn't expecting the story to pick up quite this quickly, so apologies if I haven't gotten to your favorite storyline yet. Doing the Likes/priority thing for writing new chapters.
I'd say you're doing a great job of keeping on top of it! And it's fun to see which threads get most likes, and new chapters.
If nothing else, folks should know I'll get to the branches eventually. If LLNO showed nothing else, I've got stamina.
Updated the branch ideas in the first post, in case anyone wants to see roughly where I'm envisioning things going. Suggestions welcome.
We've reached the point for the 6th main branch, and I'm leaning toward Porkum...if only to expand on some ideas from an old BEAddventure thread by someone else that ran out of gas after a few chapters. However, Porkum might be a bit too obscure for most folks these days. The Mandrill has a somewhat similar powerset in Marvel, but what do y'all think? What other villain would you like to see take a shot at the Invisible Woman?
There's currently 35 chapters-to-be-written on the docket, and I'm working through them at 2 chapters a day pretty steadily. So if there's a particular branch you're waiting on, there might be a wait! You might want to bookmark those chapters to get a notice when the branch you want updates.
I'm happy to see Porkum enter the fray! There's already an epic story by Scatwoman featuring the Mandrill and Sue, so Porkum is 'fresh', although that's probably not a very appropriate word for him!
Absolutely love the story. You're developing all the branches at an amazing speed. The variety of the approach is really Marvelous. Excelsior!
Updated the first post with the outline/ideas, for anyone that wants to get an idea of where the story might be going next - or wants to suggest other directions. I know it's going a bit slow for folks (Malice hasn't even shown up yet!) but that was the whole idea, to have Sue Storm gradually corrupted and not fall immediately into slutdom.
It's been a bit of a rough week workwise and I've burnt through the small buffer I'd built up. But haven't missed an update yet. Since the Introduction just hit 35, I'm thinking the next villain might be Ruby Thursday. Some interesting possibilities there.
I'd say you're doing a great job of keeping on top of it, and I'm enjoying all the story branches. I'm not very familiar with Ruby Thursday but from a quick Google, she looks like fun! And I look forward to seeing what new form of corruption she'd have in mind for Sue.
If anyone's counting likes and wondering why their favorite chapter hasn't updated yet, the answer is usually that I write the chapters the day before and the totals change between the time of writing and time of posting, so there can be some lag. But I'll get to them all...eventually.
Somebody asked elsewhere where/when Malice is going to come in...and the answer is soon! Trying not to rush these things. The surprising popularity of the Porkum branch has shifted a few creative gears from my original plans.
Updated the ideas list. Still chugging along. The Porkum posts are proving much more popular than I would have guessed for such an obscure character, which is forcing me to try and think of ideas so that branches aren't too similar. Feel free to chime in if there's a direction you'd like to see things go (keeping in mind the intent is still slow-burn corruption, not immediate bimbofication or anything like that).
Sorry I haven't been active on the forums much, just been really busy with real-life lately. I haven't done this uniformly, but I try to organize the choices for the chapters to be increasingly proactive. I really should have been more cognizant of that earlier on, but nobody's complained that Sue hasn't put up enough of a struggle yet, so maybe I'm doing something right.
