Do any of you other authors put easter eggs in your stories?

I find it to be a fun thing to pass the time while writing.

In my story Paying the Movers in one thread I turned a characters wedding ring into basically the one ring from LoTR.
And in my story I am a True Fan! A story that takes place at a geek convention. I named a pair of siblings John and Susan Tempest aka Johnny and Sue Storm.

Just curious if others do this and if so what are their examples.

In my story, The Temptress, I added Betty (as Elizabeth) and Veronica from Archie Comics.

In my stories, Blue Balls, Paradise Island, The Bet, and The Temptress, I've added three to four girls (Loretta, Connie, Valerie, and/or Tiffany) found in The Farmer's Daughter (this was story that introduced me to CHYOA several years ago).

For me, it depends on what I'm writing. When I write, I'll sometimes add a little something to the story that is something of a nod to games/books/comics/stories/movies, that I have enjoyed in the past. For example, I'm currently building a game with a couple of other people, and I've written in a couple of references to the Game of Thrones, Flesh Gordon, Spaceballs, TMNT, and others.

Off the top of my head, I'm sure I've referenced Star Trek (Data's line of being "fully programmed in multiple techniques" is oft-used, but too good not to include), Discworld, Minecraft, Twilight Zone, Dallas, and Hitchhiker's Guide, and I've played off of other writer's references, particularly the references to James Bond that Patzo mentioned in one of his "At the Cabin" storylines. (I made him French instead of British in this sense -- "Baudin. Jules Baudin.")
