https://chyoa.com/story/Fantasies-of-Ilustoria.11714 On the eve of its first anniversary, and just after breaking 100,000 views, I wanted to make a Story Feedback post for my story Fantasies of Ilustoria. As most writers are, I'm always curious what people think of my writing, and of course with this format, always open to suggestions for new chapters. I've already left a comment about suggestions in the comments section of the story itself, but I figured a post here couldn't hurt. More than suggestions, though, I was hoping this could be a place for any sort of critical feedback people could provide, as the Forums seem like a good place for it. I like to keep a consistent tone, among other things, so I prefer to be the only writer for the story, but it's always helpful to know if the quality feels consistent to the readers. Please let me know what you think!
I like it so far. The scenes are neither too short or too long, a good amount of variation in the action. Fair number of dead ends, but that's typical for a lot of stories, so plenty of different routes to explore. I might like to see a more connective element - the magic ring in Xalendra tales has possibilities, especially if it gets caught up. Sir Orus has the fewest chapters, I don't know if you've got quite as strong an interest in him as the other two...although that could change, if he was cursed with a gender change or something.
I do really like Orus' tale, but I seem to get a lot more ideas for the others. He's got some of the chapters I'm most proud of, writing-wise. Changing his gender is certainly intriguing. I think I have a good route for that to happen on. I've been meaning to expand on the ring, and getting routes for the other objects started as well. Thanks!
