Welcome dear students, I'm professor Beauvau and I will be your History professor. In my course, we will study the history of rise and fall of

    kingdom.

You probably heard all of the stories about valiant knights, wise dragons, savage Orcs and beautiful elves. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but here you will find none of this. Here you will find only the solid facts!

It started pretty simply, as human
[B1]colonists arrived (support from the kingdom, but will be later tax and will have to support sovereign. Would have to fight for independence, or buy it out.)
[B2]refuges arrived (no support and can be hunted by invaders that destroyed their kingdom, but starts independent.)

In the beginning, the city was ruled by

The laws of this people were quite simple:
[D1]the men and women were equal
    [D2]women were above men
    [D3]men were above women

    Slavery was
    [E1]accepted and commonly practised
[E2]regulated, one could become a slave only due to a punishment or if someone was captured in a raid or taken as a prisoner of war.
[E2.5] (as per E2, but people can also offer themselves as slaves, and slavery is usually for a set time period.)
    [E3]not tolerated

But... I seem to have gone off the subject my dear young students, yes? Let's then start from the beginning – that is their roots...

That... would be an interesting concept... many places for action.

"Och, what a cute little green fella (smile) What race are you? Goblin? Could you please stop poking my ass with that pointy stick? What do you mean breeding?"

not to mention, that would allow inserting a Victorian technology and clothing style into Fantasy world. Musketeers vs Orcs, etc. Later technologies would make the story too easy.

This will count as a council - details will be set in a later post.

Yes, dear students. It might seem incredible, but the first colonists of Zaitia were truly dimensional travellers. Oh don't look at me like that, they weren't even the first dimensional travellers – and certainly were not last.

The reason for them to chose the jungle forest of Tiph Wilds as their new home is unknown to this day, but some speculate that it was the climate that charmed the settlers...

“Fucking mosquitos!” the woman grumbled as she took off another piece of her garment. It must have been the summer, cause the humidity was unbearable. She was still decent, but if she would have to stay here any longer, she wasn't sure if that would be the case. “So Magos, what's the verdict? When can we move on?”

    The man gulped.

“Well, captain. It seems that we won't be moving.”

“What?” the woman hissed. “I'm not interested in how fascinating you find this world, we are here to scout only! Get your fucking samples and open the damn portal!”

“That's the thing! The gate's broken!” The man screamed helplessly. “After we walked through it, it practically fell apart!”

    “Then fix it!”

“I can't! We only know how to use the gates, not how to build them!”

    Woman cursed.

    “And home-”

“Even if they were able to send anyone - and considering that the gate is broken, it's doubtful - there would be no way for them to return and report our situation. The standard procedure after the scouting party going missing is to presume the worst – that the coordinates lead to death world, star or a black hole...” the men sighted helplessly.

“You mean...” the woman started, the dreadful understanding creeping into her mind.

    “We are stuck here.”

    EDIT: here is my reasoning:

A3: Even at this number of colonists, we will be encountering severe problems with inbreeding very quickly: unless there are other humans in this world, the colony is doomed to failure.

B2: the same reasoning, 1/1 is the only sensible ratio.

C3: scientists are the closest option we were given to ordinary people: military personnel think the way military personnel think. There's an old saying, "There are three ways of doing anything: the right way, the wrong way, and the ARMY way." Which, ipso-facto, means the army way of doing things is not the right way... We need the civilians to outnumber the troops or we will end up with a Fascist dictatorship.

D1: I just like the idea of a Mayor/Council system... Maybe that's because I'm a yank, but, we could do much worse, especially a Consul, which if you read up on Rome you will swiftly realize never worked out...

E2: the same thing more or less, works for the presidency in the USA, so...

F2: this was the first thing they did at Jamestown, and though that started off badly; in the end, the colony succeeded.

G1: if you've ever played any 4X game, you know this is the way to go: keep the troops home in case of barbarian/wildlife attack until you're established.

The first months were easy for the colonists. Wandering around they found many beautiful creatures that lived in the area, that they never seen with their eyes. To this day we can admire the beautiful creatures drawn by that day's artists...

    * * *

    “Ahhh!”

“Hold him still, dammit! I can't stop the bleeding if he keeps moving!”

“I told you, idiot, not to try and pet the giant black cat!” An attractive, raven-haired, large chested woman, leader of 1st (and only so far) scout team, Dame Melody Winchester - turned to her subordinate who tried desperately to close the wound of her other idiot subordinate. “How is it?”

“Not good. He will live, but all I can do here is temporary... we have to transport him back to camp.” the man grimaced. “He will lose his leg.”

The Melody winced as she looked at the dead feline that she killed with one shoot of her

[A1]musket [flint ignition, muzzle-loaded – long time to reload, medium penetration and range, medium water resistance]

[A2]flintlock [flint ignition, breech-loaded – medium time to reload, great penetration and range, weak to water]

At least its fur will make a fine gift for her grandchildren. Abby will be delighted.

She sighed, it looked that they would have to turn back – again. Every time they make an advance, that fucking forest throws some new creature at them. They already lost four people.

Melody turned to her adjutant – a minor noblewoman.

“Make sure to make drawings of this creature – the others need to know what to stay away from...”

    * * *

This was also of great political activity. Many groups became active, introducing new ideas and trying to advance the community...

    * * *

“...was found beaten quite badly.” Dame Abigail Winchester (Abby for friends) finished her report.

“and the reasons for this was...” consul Bartimaeus Scourge asked.

“... he was noble.” Abigail answered.

“Again? Which case is it, ninth?” Bartimaeus sighted. “We have both commoners and nobles on the council.”

“The nobles see their station as their birthright – they were breed to rule. And that is true, they are more skilled than commoners in leading, researching and fighting.” Abigail said “The commoners, on the other hand, are poorly educated and often not qualified for leading positions. Since the majority of the imporant stations are staffed with nobles... well, the commoners see all of the nobles holding power, and-”

“-and think that nothing has changed. That soon we will have an absolute monarchy again.”

It was trouble – both nobles and commoners at each other throats. The nobility accounted for

    [B1]10

    [B2]20

    [B3]30

percent of the population. And... Bartimaeus cut his divagations short and turned to the young woman.

“How do the other matters go?”

“The food is a minor problem – we have much of it. It should take about five years before we deplete the food resources in our immediate area. The bigger problem is gunpowder and bullets. We have enough for hunting for next three years... but a conflict or two would immediately deplete our reserves.”

Bartimaeus sighted. He was doing that a lot lately. Why did he agree to take a job, again?

    “Thank you for your report.”

Abigail nodded and left, leaving the consul alone. The older man sighed, leaned back in his chair and looked under his desk.

“So, how many times have you come when your daughter gave her report?” Bartimaeus asked with humour.

“Ah.” Melody moaned as her mouth finally released consul's dick, she didn't stop fingering herself. “f-four. I can't believe you made me service you when Abby was maybe two meters behind me. I can't stop thinking about how I would explain it to her if she found me...”

The man snorted as he gestured the woman to saddle him. As she got up he couldn't help but admire her body as she stud in front of him wearing nothing but brown leather thigh-high boots with suspender belt and underbust corsets with wide straps (that pushed her quite impressive round breasts up). She carefully impaled herself on his dick and started moving, moaning lustfully with each movement.

“We would tell her, that her adoptive mother is a slutty woman with insatiable lust for sex, who practically forced consul to take her as sex-slave in a year-long contract, that compelled her to follow every order that he gave her.”

He grabbed the woman's breast and squeezed it, making her shudder in climax. Was it due to his words, or due to her oversensitive tits – he could only guess. He waited for Melody to collect herself, and resume her duties in pleasing him before he continued.

“Now report and don't even think of slowing down again.”

While Melody was quite expressive in showing her pleasure, the man controlled himself well and didn't show any excitement – his voice sounded almost bored.

“T-the scouting party that I-i lead, found an open-mhmm, space, eh, not far from the city. It-t should be go-od for farms.” she bit her lip. “during the e-expedition o-ne of my subordinates was maimed. A-ah!” She squeaked as the man squeezed her nipple.

“Yes, I read the report. You really fucked up by making that idiot take the point. That deserves punishment – I think... twenty lashes on each of these.”

“Ah!” Melody moaned as the man slapped her breast and her pussy squeezed the man's dick at the stimulation.

“and another forty on your bum. So you don't enjoy it too much, it's a punishment after all. Maybe I will have you pay a visit to the poor man for him to do as he pleases with you for a day or two - after all, it's your poor judgment that cost the man his leg.” he gave her nipple another squeeze before letting go and leaning back. “Now tell me, how is going the seduction of your adjutant – if you didn't make any meaningful progress, you will be barred from wearing undergarments for a month.”

Melody moaned as she tried to quicken her pace. They both knew she would be walking commando out of consul's office.

    Yay! DF is FUN!

    And Now for voting:

A2: R.o.F. is the most important.
B1.5: They account for 20%, but only half are hereditary, the other half, like Dame Winchester, are "life-peers" who were born commoners but elevated for meritorious service, and who's children won't inherit a title. (Three-way factional conflicts: Yay!)
    C2: Watchtowers, then palisade.
D3: 50/50 Split, half defend the settlement and half explore.
E1: food must be the top priority, that was what almost destroyed Jamestown.
F1: Someone needs to take stock of what resources we have.

B1 - I will add an explanation with elevation to nobility...
D3 - part of soldiers always stays in the city... I will clear it out in the next thread. Maybe divide the soldiers into three divisions with Melody as one of the commanders...
F1 - while I agree that some statistics are important, I don't want to go too much into 'tables, numbers and indicators'. I'm trying to create something simple.

Hope you don't mind how I made Melody (her husband stayed on other side. Free of most obligations she decided to go wild, and mayor seemed like an experienced man to help her have some quality time.). I will be including Abby and her husband more in next chapters... add a little family drama, a pint of some madness and mix it with some paranoia and some dangerous environment.

I'm trying to think of a way to reduce the amount of sex in next thread - four scenes is little too much.

    Note:
When creating a character, please omit dates and countries. Later I plan on going to settler's religion - it might end up... interesting.

Actually, I kind of do, and, as an important note, she's almost the same age as the mayor... She adopted Abby when Abby was 10, Abby's now 27. At the time Abby was adopted her mother had already despaired of having her own children, being 43 at the time: you do the math...

    EDIT:
Let me explain a bit: It's not just what you did in the scene, but more that I didn't envision her being here at all. Also, you don't give up on a marriage of more than 40 years standing in under 6 months...

EDIT2: But I think, the thing that bothers me most, is I clearly wrote Mellody as a dominant personality and you made her a submissive.

OK, that's it: rant over, you're the ST and that means what you say goes, but, let me just be clear on one last thing: Abby is NOT a sub, in fact, she's not a dom either, she's never so much as given BDSM a second's thought and if she did the entire conclusion would be: "Really? This is a thing? People enjoy this, on either end? Humans are weird." followed by never thinking about it again.
