They were known as an academic fraternity with a reputation for high graduation rates. Their membership process was closely guarded and rumored to be almost impossible. Only 25% of their pledges actually gain acceptance. At the same time the fraternity did not engage in excessive drinking, had never been accused of hazing or abusing pledges and was in general highly regarded as a model fraternity. We follow the pledges. If they refuse 75% of the pledges, there should be a reason that they had never been accused of hazing like - they refuse all official pledges but there are rumors that they only accept pledges who send them the proof of all trials, - they let the pledges do something really bad/compromising which can be used to command them silence after refusing them, - they exclusively accept legacy pledges who won't tell about the hazing because of their parents (though then the refuse rate would be too high) or - the hazing is something new.
College hazing stories are pretty normal. Perhaps make it harder with doing something sexual with a University staff member, Use of Alcohol in a unique sexual way from your partner(s), and maybe even throw in having sex with three genders.
