Right now it feels like we get a notification every time any chapter is added to one of our favorite stories. Some stories have many branches and many authors adding to them when I'm only interested in one or two of the branches, clogging up my notifications. I propose the ability to specify what branches send you notifications about updates or the ability to exclude specific branches from our notifications.
This is basically a duplicate of Add the option to favor only some story lines Currently, it is possible to bookmark specific chapters from a story, rather than favouriting the whole story. Whenever a new chapter is added to a chapter you've bookmarked, you will get a notification. You can thus bookmark the most recent chapter of a branch if you're waiting for the next continuation, or if you're looking out for additions to a branch at any point along it, bookmark every chapter.
