Gamer movie idea

  1. So, I remember watching the movie Gamer. Hopefully I remember it correctly, but if I remember, people who work in the game area as avatars are real people, that are somehow put into a state where they function through control by the player on the other side.

I remember there was a scene where the guy controlling one of the women in the game had her go with another guy, and start acting in a sexually provocative manner, with both the perverted guy controlling the girl, and the person controlling the guy, cheering on the depravity.

The idea is around that. Imagine a world where you are the character, and where someone else controls you, with no limits on what they can do. Imagine what men would do to a young, attractive woman that they suddenly had control of like this.

Then, as the story progresses, she starts remembering bits and pieces of what has happened to her, then remembering more. I think the quick sex stories that people like in most of these stories could be gratified, and a woman being in that sort of position where she has no real control, or even awareness. But, it could be a full story because, as it progresses, it could move from a humiliation/forced/semi-consensual story to a revenge story.

I mention this idea because it seems like a good idea, but not sure I could do very well writing it myself.

Yeah seems good, they should make a movie out of it ...

Just kidding, you should really try and start it by yourself, it has a nice potential.

  3. I meant, someone could expand on the idea with a story, one that is more engaging than the actual movie was. I didn't really like the movie personally, but it made me wondering, what would it be like to be one of those avatars. What would it be like to be the woman, to suddenly start remembering what people have made me do when they were in control of me like that.

Honestly, the idea intrigues me because I am a bit of an exhibitionist, and don't mind being watched. It sort of turns me on, thinking about being controlled to the point I could do nothing about it, other than being a passenger. It is the whole "Guilt free sex because I have absolutely no control over my own actions" thing.

But, also, how would I really feel, taken out of a fantasy story or something, and actually being in the situation. Of knowing that there are these sick, depraved people, making me do things that I would never willing do, or even think of.

The movie itself focused alot on the killing aspect, and I think, given it is in that world, that could be part of it, but it could also focus alot on the CHYOA sexual themes. After all, in the movie, there seemed to be very little, if any limits. And the psychological repercussions, after starting to remember things that happened, would make the story more than just a sex story. Like, a drama/horror/sex story, all rolled into one.

Yeah i didn't see it either, the one with Clive Owen was it?
edit. i confused myself with shoot 'em up, the main actor here was Gerard Butler.

In fact i didn't actually knew about this 'side scene' with the girl you mentioned.

I'd love write something like that, but i'm kind of slow and have my hands full at the moment.

I feel like suggesting this though.
The girls should have been hacked, to bypass some limitations to her command, because if it was normal to have that kind of control over a player, why should she be mad about it? She would have known from the start, right?

  5. Honestly, I didn't like the movie, but I think there is something they do so they don't remember it. Although, I guess paths, where I can be a passenger to the naughty things they have me do, could be exciting. I mean, I have a fantasy about being drugged and put in the men's locker room. See what happens. Of course, I would want to make sure I know what happens. But yeah, in the movie, if I remember, the character doesn't remember anything. Maybe this link:

But, there are also other scenes where you see the things done to other women in the Society thing.

As I recall the movie, the characters do remember it and are aware of it at the time, which is a big part of the horror. The wife in that movie (as well as the others) had to "rent" her body to the gamers because she couldn't find any work. So yeah, a story where a woman had to sell her actual free will has a lot of potential for erotic horror, and your specific scenario is a great starting scene.

I remember watching the movie. I did not quite care for it that much. Another movie I had watched earlier this year showed someone could connect to many and control their actions, but the movie escapes me. Will look for that movie.

The underlying idea has potential. I'd imagine the premise, done well, would include the perspective of the victim and their horror at their own conflicted actions and/or outside-influenced feelings (that they still feel [and the actions they still commit with their bodies even if not in control]).

    ...

In general, going a sci-fi or fantasy route, modern or otherwise, can be good for a fantastical fun time or a generic-but-fun literary cop-out.

Creating a serious and emotionally-tuned scenario in either setting, though, can be as difficult as any literary endeavor, and doing this particular premise *well* says difficulty and dedication to me.

... Or it could just be a fun non-con romp, but doing that well still takes talent.

I can't be so diverted myself, but the underlying premise has merit.

It's just not necessarily easy, if the author has scruples.
