My kids have been very into 'Angry Birds' lately and the more I look at it the more a weird part of me wants to do a CHYOA story about it... Obviously we would have to blend several of the AB franchises to make this work, but that's OK, it's always seemed to me somewhat odd that we have the AB characters in all these different versions that don't really overlap much... So, example: in one part of the plot-line we have Red and Stella hooking up, in another Bomb is boinking Gale while Ansom Pig looks on enviously via telescope, and elsewhere The Blues chill with Luca. (They're both under age, so...) Am I insane, or does this sound like something that could be kind of cool?
It sounds about as do-able as anything. If the social chemistry among the Birds (and their varying personalities) and the quirky humor of their battles with the Pigs holds up, then post-victory celebratory boinking seems in line. Maybe the birds need something (aphrodisiac fruit) that the pigs keep stealing for themselves? Sometimes the birds succeed in knocking down the Pigs' castles and caches to recover their goodies, and sometimes the Pigs hold out long enough to escape with them. "Sorry, Bird, your fruit is in another castle!" Or maybe the Pigs want to domesticate some birds. Or they've stolen the Chosen Bird and want to ransom her back to the birds. Greed seems to be their premise, but stealing the birds' eggs to eat them might not be a good fit for "Happy Birds".
