Hi there First off I would like to congratulate the team here on their work on this new site. I only discovered this new CHYOA site a couple of days ago, but have noticed a few authors that I wrote with a couple of years ago on CHYOO 2 have migrated here. So hey guys! Okay, the queries. 1. Are the total views carried over from CHYOO 2? Looking up a couple of my old stories they seem to have had a heck of a lot of views for material that has not been added to for years. 2. There seems to be a glitch where some of the threads have all the punctuation symbols replaced by question marks. Looking through my old story "The Scorpion Princess" all my own threads read normally, to me at least, but the threads added by other authors are affected. Any ideas what may have caused this?
1. Yes I think the views had to have carried over, i noticed the same and the new site dosent have the traffic yet to generate the views. But it also counts the new views on this site as well. 2. It is something in the coding when the stories where transfered.
2. The same thing happened from Chyoo 1 to Chyoo 2. Any curly quotes (pasted from Word/Wordpad) failed to make the transition.
Thanks for the replies. Guess my own threads were not affected due to using notepad instead of word? I'll need to go through and edit the threads in question. I did also notice that the method for adding a personalised name in stories had changed so stories with a name prompt were interspersed with {firstname} and {lastname}.
