I'd like to have one chapter only be available via direct link, so the chapter wouldn't show up via a end of chapter link or in the storymap. Is there any way to accomplish that without the use of game mode? So far the best solution I have found is introducing a gap chapter Chapter(published) Chapter (not published) Hidden Chapter(published) But in this case the chapter would still show up in the storymap...which isn't the end of the world, but I wonder if there is a more elegant solution.
You could have a "Hidden Chapter" story, publish the chapter there, and then link to it from the other story. That way no one reading the first story would see it. Would not work with game mode, though.
I considered that as well, my main issue with this is that I would then send anyone who has a favorite on said story notifications for somehing completely unrelated. It's why i really wish you could publish chapters silently Ideally, I would create a garbage dump story, but I think that's against the rules
You could label the chapter something innocuous so as not to spoil it, and include a branch that's just hidden chapters. Some of which might be fake.
