What it says in the title. I'm writing a thread for someone else's story, and since it kicks off about fifteen chapters in, it's already got some variables. But, the thread involves a change of characters, so several of those variables are useless, and indeed just take up space. So, can you get rid of variables that have already been coded into the story (not delete them at the root, but rather make them stop applying to this chapter and vanish)? Can I set them to hidden? What can I do?
You can't delete variables yet. (Could be available in the near future) You can hide them. There is a manual to change visibility in the CHYOA Guide Conditional Branches paragraph 6 If you want to keep the actual value of the variable just add a Score Change adding 0 to the value and use visibility "hidden" The variables will still be there, but the reader wouldn't see them in the sidebar anymore. (Editors can still see them using a spoiler button)
