How does one get their own stories out of "In Review"?

    Hi Folks,

Loving this new layout. I was wondering how one gets their own stories out of "In Review" mode? I was the one who wrote/owned the story, so I don't know who is "reviewing" it. I did already "Approve" them, but am still not sure what else is to be required. There are only two new ones in my "queue".

Please help and let me know how I can make this not happen anymore.

    Thanks,
    E

    Hi godoferror,

You did everything right. A moderator had to simply check them .. and they are approved now.

Thanks! However, does this mean anytime I create a new story that I am the author of, I need to get you to approve it?

Yes, they have to be approved to meet the site guidelines. And usually this is no problem.

I haven't announced it yet but there will be an automated approval process, an algorithm which looks for keywords (like age restrictions) and approves stories either immediately or assigns them to a moderator for manual approval. So this should speed things up.

Yes, there are some topics which are forbidden even here: such as pedophilia and bestiality, sad to say not everyone respects those boundaries, so new stories need to be reviewed by the moderators: otherwise the site would quite rightly be shut down by the authorities.

Ah, that does make sense. We certainly would wish to keep this site up.

The other things we often have to check is to make sure that the new story isn't 2 sentences long, or alternatively doesn't in fact have even the introduction. Nothing good comes of that.

Yep, I once saw a story that was self contained in the first chapter: and I was like...

    "WHY...?"

How long would it typically take for the story to be approved? Is it a day, a month?
