Someone messaged me and wanted to collaborate on a story, and created a story on my profile. I don't want the story to be on my profile anymore, and when I try to edit the story, I'm unable to. I can view the story map in the options for the story, but I cannot edit it in order to delete it. I'm assuming it's because the story wasn't created by me, but then why was someone else able to put it on my profile in the first place? I just want to know how to remove it so I stop getting notifications for it and seeing it in my stories. It is not mine.

How you contributed to the story?

Not at all, it just appeared there a while back and I haven't found a way to remove it. I deleted all the chapters it would allow me to, but the 3 remaining are all created by the other writer and not me.

Story owner can assign user roles to other users.
Depending on the role, the story appears on your profile.

You are only able to edit the story if you're assigned the user role "Owner"
If you aren't the creator of the story but assigned as an owner, you can only access the edit story page with the direct link.
The easiest way to do that: Go to the story map, replace the "map" in the address bar with "edit", and open it.

If you wish, I can remove the assignment of the role for you. Then, the story will disappear from your profile page. Please let me know.
