It would be great to be able to search multiple categories at the same time (you can currently only select one) it would also be good to be able to search for multiple tags at once and choose to either ‘match all’ to show stories that contain all the tags being searched, and ‘match any’ to show stories that contain one or more tags being searched but may not have all of them.
I'll second that. Too many sites that I have experienced have excellent content, but no way to find it because they have limited or no search capabilities. You have categories, and LOTS of tags, people should be able to use those to find just the story/project that they are looking for. Non-erotic science fiction? Sure, no problem. Stories that involve multiple partners but not incest? OK. Stories that involve an 18 yr/old male and multiple female partners? Or maybe male partners? Or maybe both? I don't see any way of rating stories on this site, but at the very least you should be able to search on how many people favorite a story or give it a thumbs up. And having wasted my time on a few abandoned stories, maybe a way to search on stories that have not been updated in X years. Effective searching is one of the keys of a popular web site. Great content is only great if someone can find it ...
It is kind of possible to search for stories that match 2 or more keywords, though there are some issues with it. See the (whole) thread Tags + Relevance for more information.
Appreciate your feedback, but my point wasn't that you couldn't search at all, but rather that the search process here was extremely cumbersome. And knowing what tags you could search on (hit the "category" or "tag" button and see a list of all the tags on the site) would be the next highest priority. Right now the main story page has a white box with a hint that says "Search for Sex Stories, Chapters and authors". The average user will not be able to find what they are looking for easily. The "basic" search engine on Storiesonline.net is: https://storiesonline.net/library/categories.php. They have an even better search engine for their paying customers.
