So I have been trying for a few hours now to get a picture inserted into a story I am working on and I am rapidly losing my patience as I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or if the site isn't functioning correctly.

Thus far I have done as stated, put in the ![Image Name] (Image URL with .jpg) and it simply refuses to upload properly. I have tried both Imgur and Imgbox which everyone seems to recommend, however neither seems to be working for me.

As for imgbox I have tried all three links provided:
    1) https://imgbox.com/twgRnIwC

    2) <a href="https://imgbox.com/twgRnIwC" target="_blank"><img src="https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/f3/c0/twgRnIwC_t.jpg" alt="image host"/></a>

    3)[IMG]

None work correctly as of yet.

As for Imgur the only link I can grab from that site is this one:

    https://imgur.com/jvTxwnh

Which clearly lacks the .jpg needed to work properly.

I am unsure how to proceed, and would appreciate any help anyone can give me before I non-ironically dash my laptop at the kitchen wall in frustration :(

Ironically it seems to work with inserting the bloody image in the forum but not my chapter... o_O

*Tried the third link again in the chapter but still refuses to work for me

Never mind got it working after doing some digging on Imgur and getting the DIRECT LINK from the list of links you can pull down on your specific images, and leaving the [] blank in the code though i'm unsure if that affected anything, regardless my laptop is safe and the problem has been resolved

It seems that image names only work if you manually disable the Rich Text Editor (RTE) in your personal CHYOA settings. The RTE is what allows you to select formatting options like italics, bold and headings; turning it off means you need to use Markdown symbols for the same features.

In other words, yes, leaving the brackets [] blank is probably what got it to work.
