I was trying to look at "tales from rahowa" by Idealsimp , but links to the story and author no longer work.

Does that mean it was taken down?

Also, do stories get deleted if authors delete their accounts?

To the best of my knowledge they just give up ownership of their stories when their accounts are deleted

So the story was taken down then? That's a bummer

This one is definitely gone though.

Since the author is gone too, he probably deleted it intentionally. But yeah he was fairly active until recently, definitely a very quick change of heart, but it happens sometimes.

I know authors come and go, just sucks they took it down instead of just leaving for someone else to pick up at some point

I can confirm that IdealSimp has deleted his story.

Deleting the account will not delete any stories.

We, CHYOA, do not delete stories either.

It's a shame it took me so long to realize it was gone. And so long after realizing it was gone to remember that mobile devices save offline versions of pages.
If anyone has a mobile device that was last used to read this story and not used since, you can shut down the internet on it and then search your history to pull up the offline saved versions of the pages, but otherwise the story appears to have disappeared from existence.
