So my story, "Lost In Lore" gets a good amount of positive attention with the only criticism being my spelling, or grammer. I don't get much time to write, usually only on Lunch at work, or at home in the morning if I don't feel like gaming. So I don't get to edit my story, my main problems causing my issues is my mind moves much faster than my hands, I am slightly Dyslexic, and my phone seems to be reaching the end of its life. It has constant glitches that make writing much harder than it should be, like changing words to the improper one (i.e to becomes do or even yo, or turning you're to your), completely jumbling the word (have no idea how it happens but together could become tottgethr) and creating an extra capital letter (i.e He becomes HHe). So if anyone is intrested in editing, I would greatly appericate it.
I'm quite happy to help with editing (as long as it's just the one story), though I'm not sure how that would work in practice (I'm not sure if stories can have multiple moderators).
It is possible to assign the user role "editor" to a user. Then they could directly modify every chapter. If the changes are made with user role editor, there would be no way to approve it. When I "edit" other peoples' work, I usually do in pm. I copy a part of affected original line to make it easier to find the specific position and write the corrected line or a single word in the line below. If the editor sends you the whole, edited chapter text you could also use a text file comparison program to see the changes.
It is described in the CHYOA Guide: Create a Story (paragraph 10) (Use "Edit Story" to get to that page) After saving the Story you can get back to the Edit Story page and check if the name appears in the user role section. If you have further questions, feel free to ask.
Many thanks for the information, gene.sis. Otaku, I've sent you a personal message so we can discuss the editing further if needed.
