Would it be weird or odd to make a Non-Erotic story? (stories without sexual acts) I have gone through the rules and it doesn't say I can't though. If there is a story that doesn't have any sexual content in it, please link it to me as an example. Also, it's hard to find a good non-sexual story making site with some sort of community, usually all that pops up when searching for a site things like "easy free short story making templates" which are hard to scroll through..

I'd love to see you do it. Don't expect much attention - note that no non-erotic stories have broken even 50 likes; the top 3 are all informational pieces. This isn't the best site for it, of course, but by all means, go ahead.
I would say go for it. Many people here would discourage you but I can even give you an example of sorts. I am not talking about a full story but a branch of a very famous story has almost no sex but it is still my favorite story and favorite branch. The key word being 'almost'. But I think if you are writing about science fiction, romance, fantasy or something along those lines you could get away with it without adding any sexual content. And even in this branch you can see some sexual content but I think this branch would still be great after removing erotic stuff. You could try reading a few chapters and tell me if it helped. I will definitely read a non erotic story if it has science fiction, romance, fantasy or something along those lines.
This is sadly true. I once found another choose your own adventure site that was not focused on sexual themes, and seemed to have an active community, but stupid me has forgotten it completely. While I prefer things I write to have some sort of sexual element, it is very few and far between lots of buildup, story, and characterization. And on this site, it’s not the most popular thing. So if you’re going to post something like that here, make sure it’s something you enjoy for the sake of creating it, and are not expecting too much back from the community.
I just jump into this conversation: drum roll... I'm currently building a non-erotic version of CHYOA. At the same time, this new version will serve as a new code base for CHYOA version 3.0. I hope this will please one or the other

As others have said, it provably won't be super popular, as there are many people who use this site as a way and means for slightly more refined masturbation, and that is a reality we all authors have to deal with. My own story is not precisely an example of moderation when it comes to sexual content, but I have written a non-erotic/character-driven chapter from time to time (It's a bad habit of mine, I'm working on it), and they are always the ones who receive less likes by far. There is a portion of users who really come here looking for well written stories, but they are a minority. That said, if you look at the stories that are already in the non-erotic category (ignoring the guides), it's true that none of them are popular, but also none of them are really developed or even moderately active, most of them don't reach the 20 chapters, and let me tell you: unless you write a really clickbaity and mainstream story ala 'Young gamer guy fuck her sister and then the whole school with mental powers and big dick', you will need at least 40 chapters and a few months of semi-constant activity to really built a fan base here. I would actually recommend you not using that category, but posting your story in one of the more generic ones like 'fantasy', 'Sci-fi' or 'romance'. That alone would make you reach more people. Write an statement in the front page saying that you are not interested in the sexual part (don't say you WON'T, just that it is not your priority) Then, if you so wish, you could set the story to moderated and use the chyoa format to your advantage, letting other authors write more erotic alternative routes. That way, the story could have e-content, even if you don't write it yourself. But if your really, really want a pure and uncorrupted non-erotica story, you have my sincere blessings. Post it here when you do it and I will look at it.
