my story about the Gamer almost never existed. I was about to start a story about someone stuck into a futuristic vr video game ( like in sword art online) except with a little twist. the player in question is a dirty cheater. he instaled a pirate mod to cheat at this new game. of course either because of anticheat programs or corrupted files he ended up with a serious disagrement in this game (genderflipped, stuck naked instead of having endgame equipement, having a ridiculous class with useless powers) , it could be accidental or a trap from the person that gave him the mod, and the character could be of either gender. it's while looking for a title for this that when jugglng with the word Gamer lightning stroke me and I started my story. still I think the premise could be fun and if someone want's to grab it and run with it i'd be happy to read it or even throw a chapter or two. if no one is interested I'll probably create it in public with a few chapters but won't do much work on it. on a slightly similar theme to the Gamer and also a Korean manwha , there is DICE. the story is fun and if you have a dirty mind the powers and mechanics can easily be twisted towards some sexy stuff. i can't run multiple in depth stories at once and I don't plan on giving up on the current on for a while so if someone wanted to do this one it would give me cool stuff to read between writing chapters ; ) i just thought i would throw these idea into the hat for motivated writers .
Interestingly enough I am currently working on a story quite similar to this one: a person finds themselves inside a video game, and has to try surviving their new world...
While we´re Isekai-ing, can we start giving our stories incredibly long Light Novel-titles ;P? Like "My Stepmother keeps trying to suck my dick, even though my High-School Romantic Comedy is negatively influenced by this unusual circumstance!!!" or "How come in this Free-Use fantasy world no one respects my Online Gaming Skils?!"
On the note of Gamer like stories i also suggest Wizardly Tower. It's by the same author and while not in a game/r setting the magic works and looks very game-y.
An equally awesome story, but I don't know if it would be as easy to adapt. Incredible to read though.
The problem with Wizardly Tower is that (as of now) we really don't have informations about the world at large. The Gamer makes for a real easy adoptation. Dice similarly so. Real World Augmentation in general is pretty easy, no wonder with the whole 'world building' being a non-factor. There was already discussion about it but just like Wizardly Tower, Tower of God would be very intriguing but hard to pull off. So little background Lore to build upon. A story that would be very ambitious but i would love to see is an actual World of Warcraft Fiction. In-World, Real Person transported into the world, just a new patch where it became VR, doesn't matter that much to me. The world is gargantuan, has a lot of historic starting points, established characters, biomes, lore. As I said: VERY ambitious, but i would love to see it.
Not enough to make it myself evidently. I am also slightly scared of touching that universe. It is intimidating to mess with such a Goliath.
Then call me 'David', because that bad boy's going DOWN! ... (Right after I finish CIVILISATION II, Pokémon Red, and someone pays for me to sign up and play for a few months to get a sense of the game...)
