Has anyone played this game? Because I've fallen in love with it. Five teenagers throw a party on an island with a supernatural secret, leading to revelations thar might save the world and their friendships. It's got a feel like Gremlins or other old Amblin movies, so both some exciting creepy stuff and great character development! And everyone's an ambiguously aged teenager so an erotic version ain't out of the question...
It's close to a "walking simulator," but if you like Telltale Games you'll get a kick out of it: interacting with other characters to affect the arc of the story is the main thrust of it. It's a very human story of teeagers grappling with their coming adulthood (AHEM At The Cabin-ers).
Poking around on Steam, it certainly looks fun, and I prefer the "walking simulator" style of games more so than traditional RPGs with massive level grinding. That gets tedious. And a coming-of-age story with supernatural elements where teens are trying to cope with external and poorly-understood forces while dealing with their entry into adulthood... well then. How can I not play this.
No levels, no combat at all! It's really an adventure game where talking to your friends and fiddling with a radio are the only mechanics. You have to let me know what you think: it's a very Yarkoz game in my mind.
Patzo, you'll be happy to know I've been enjoying Oxenfree It's also quite convenient for me given my schedule as of late, since it's very casual. (I wanna play Stardew Valley so bad, but c'mon, ain't nobody got time for growing parsnips.)
Man, I've played so few games since I posted this. I still need to check out Stardew Valley and Undertale. Glad you enjoyed it though! It's got a lot of heart and I do go more for the "walking simulator" end of the adventure gaming spectrum. It's actually getting a free expansion on the 31st, so I'm planning to jump back in once that happens.
