I, for one, never saw what you were doing as 'farming' for likes, or even if you were, that its that big a deal. As long as you're not cluttering highly visible, highly competitive space (like the top 10 stories) with your random un-stories then I don't see the harm. I also didnt see most of them as all that useful, for the most part. But, still, some were interesting thought exercises and little unscientific snapshot studies. ... Anyway, oh well.
You have nothing to apologize for Reco, my only envy in all this is I didn't think of doing these first, because, let me assure you, I would not, quite deliberately have gone above and beyond as you have avoiding the impression of bias. I would have taken this host of so-called "like farming" ideas of yours, had they occurred to me first, and run with them as fast and as far as Friedman would let me. It is perhaps for the best therefore that I was NOT the one to whom these ideas occurred.
