    TheLeherengin Really Really Experienced

So, for a long time I've run an RP which got saddled with the name The ZP RP (ZP standing for Zombie Pen which was a result of the place I first ran the rp at). The RP is basically a freeform RP. I often describe it as like Skyrim, where there might be a story, but the real fun is simply exploring a large world full of sidequests and fun events and characters. The RP is not specifically sexual, but obviously the level of sex involved can vary and it can be very sexual.

As for the setting itself. I'll give a brief description here and probably a more in depth description of the setting elsewhere later if people show interest.

The basic concept is this is an alternate fantasy earth. The major difference is that this earth contains magic and a pantheon of gods. (Magic will be covered in more detail as well)

    The main four gods ar:
    • Luenna The Goddess of Light,
    • Mahsri The God of Darkness,
    • Filik God of Chaos, and
    • Amana Goddess of Fate
There are also plenty of minor Gods who work for one or more of the main gods.(Gods and The Pantheon will be covered in more detail)
The four main gods created the universe and all life within it, before retreating to their own realms
    • Luenna in Heaven,
    • Mahsri in Hell,
    • Filik in The Shattered Realm, and
    • Amana remained in the universe, but in an incarnated non-godly form.
Many more gods arose and events happened which will all be detailed further, but eventually

the modern world was cemented, ruled primarily by humans, with various monstrous and undead beings in existence threatening them, The elf tribes went into hiding in various parts of the world and The Dragons, Fairies and The Invallar (An Original Race specific to this setting) are believed completely extinct.

The cause is unknown, but at some time in the 21st century a majority of humanity simply became violent and confrontational, starting small, before erupting into a massive world war that resulted in the destruction of a large portion of the world and the decimation of the human race. Since then, things have calmed somewhat and the world has entered what is known as The Ghost War period. The war caused the fall of most political systems and new factions have risen in their place.
    • The Empire
    • The Scars
    • The Carbine
    • The Archaic
    • The NAW are the new political groups that run the world and the Ghost War moniker refers to the continued conflict between these five factions.
(The Factions will also be explained in more detail)

The player character can be either a denizen of this world, in which case they need to choose a race, choose whether they are affiliated with any god or faction. Otherwise they can be an outsider which means they have no restriction on character creation, but come into this world with basically no knowledge of it having arrived from another universe in the multiverse.

I've designed a basic character Sheet just as an example

Too tired to write anything remotely close to a character or consider a concept, looks tantalizing with the information provided so far, however. But where would you intend for the characters to start/gather in? And what could we expect to be the current state of play for that region to be? Just something basic, for now at least.

Players will start in various places, dependent on Faction choice potentially. IE if you're allied with a certain faction you will likely start in an area controlled by that faction. If you're unaligned you'll be given a choice of place to start. As for the state of play... I'm unsure exactly what you mean by that?

Well, the good news is I already had the bulk of my thing planned out for a while now. I might update rules and abilities and things as I think about them.

    Name: Zaira The Majestic
    [IMG]
    Age: 2674
    Gender: Female
    Race: Dijinn(Ifrit)
    God (If applicable):
Faction (If Applicable): Will update this along with gods, if I think of something for it once I get more detail on it.
Background: "I'll do exactly as you ask." Those words were what a lot of mortals heard before their rise to glory, only for the realization to come in the worst possible way of what exactly this means.

If the oldest legends are to believed, there was once a battle among two warring gods. The damage caused by the two was so great, that their magic breathed life into the raw elements of the world, giving birth to the elemental. But when they saw what had happened, they were proud of their accidental creation. It was their magic incarnated in the purest possible form. Those beings made from raw magic and elemental power would later become known as dijinn. Whether or not anyone chooses to believe that to be the case, their existence was always a thing of wonder and fear. The idea they could give you virtually anything your heart wanted, but also willing to just rip it all away from you on a moment's notice, made them just as widely sought out as they were feared. Whether or not it was because of jealousy, or retribution, the genies soon found themselves pushed towards extinction. But they were nothing, if not clever. Many escaped to the ethereal planes that spawned them, where their foes couldn't follow. Starting to settle in other worlds instead, their presence became much more rarer and scattered, a few even finding their way to "dead" worlds, where they were thought long since gone, and therefore had nobody still looking for them.

Zaria used it to her advantage, traveling through the planes until she found one such place that they thought her kind no longer existed in. Only a handful of other ones went along, keeping their presence mostly scattered. Only having been in this part of the dimension for a couple hundred years, she had managed entertaining herself just fine. Only the most determined creatures would seek out rumors of the existence of genies still being here, and an even fewer number would succeed. Sometimes when bored enough, she'd help them along just to see what they would do when they actually had her power at their command. Some impressed, others didn't. But overall, she was happy. She could work with this.
    —————————————————————————————————
    ABILITIES
    Magical(Restrained)
: As expected, a fire elemental's powers work best within their own element. When left to her own devices, it's the only aspect of her magic that doesn't lose all that much power, putting her skills with fire spells in line with an Archmage. However, all of her other magical abilities still sufferly greatly, being brought down to roughly the equivalent of an typical apprentice level mage. Still potentially capable, but greatly outclassed by many other things.
Magical(Unrestrained): The magic she has when granting wishes is much more powerful, though it still carries limits on it's own. While the things she can't do with full power are only a few things, they still exist. She cannot:
Grant wishes that contradict a previous owner
Giving wishes away to to other people are considered invalid
Revive the dead(Not without a body)

Physical: A being of pure fire, she doesn't fear heat based attacks or overexposure to the sun. Physically, she isn't much stronger than the average human, but is incredibly difficult to hurt without properly exploiting their abilities, though it's still possible. Also capable of flight due to being mostly elemental matter,

While not necessarily weak to the cold and water itself, she doesn't appreciate it. She's still more than capable of surviving a bath, but magical forces of water are naturally something she prefers to avoid.

Iron. Like many magical based creatures, similar to fairies, cold iron is a potentially lethal weapon that she can't just recover injuries from. She is not eager to have a direct encounter with it, and one of the things that is still a potentially dangerous threat even at the full extent of her magic. However, she is aware of this and getting the chance to stab her directly isn't something she'll just hand out to people.

Pride and honor. Ifrit's while mostly vain and petty creatures by their nature, carry a deep seated sense of pride to carry out their word if they give it. This isn't necessarily benevolence, as much as it can be considered showcasing how easy it is for them to grant mortals all the things they want as if they were nothing. More often than not, she will grant wishes exactly as intended. only going out of her way to make life difficult for handlers if they do something to offend her. Such as making her do something she doesn't want to do...like granting a wish, for instance. Until someone tries to get cute by asking for more wishes or something equally annoying, she'll likely do what they ask with little problems, but this may not always be the case. It's extremely difficult to predict what will set a dijinn off, but when they are made angry, it's bad news for everyone involved. However, she will still carry out wishes even if she doesn't like them. A clever enough person could still use this to their advantage, but most usually end up only getting bitten in the end.

Her lamp. Something of a double edged thing by nature. A portal to her own little pocket dimension on the ethereal planes, she enjoys the freedom of the place allowing her powers to go completely unrestrained there, and free to use as she sees fit. When summoned, she's capable of using the full scope of her powers, but can't directly kill the contract owner(At least until she sees a proper way to twist things.) She also can't travel too far from the lamp that houses her dimension, meaning wherever it goes, she has to go along with it. While she can reside outside of her dimension, without the purpose of granting a wish, her magical might becomes much weaker, become more along the lines of an regular wizard. Despite these setbacks, she is still a powerful force of nature in her own right.
    —————————————————————————————————

    INVENTORY
Weapons: Mostly conjured weapons made from flames. Doesn't carry any physically based ones, herself.
    Resources/Items(Outerworld):
    Green jeweled earrings
    Golden Magical Lamp(Currently no owner)
    Resources(Planes):
    A personal palace
Hoards of treasure and mystical artifacts(She isn't interested in sharing any of it.)

So that's what I have. Let me know what changes need to be made. I still might need to make some edits.

Auraicide and I had an idea where my character is unknowingly the child of hers. Let me know if that's okay.

    Name: Sandor Palladus
    1385147301525.png
    Age: 19
    Sex: Male
Race: Half Djinn (Looks and believes himself to be fully human)
    God: Luehna
    Faction: N/A

Secretly the lovechild of the djinn, Zaira the Majestic, and one of her human lovers, Sandor never knew his parents, being raised as an orphan at a temple of warrior monks serving Luehna, the Goddess of light. Under the monk's tutelage, the young boy was taught to honour his god by going out into the world and protecting and helping the people he finds there. To aid him in this, he was trained rigorously in combat, leading him to become highly muscular, and making him an expert in hand to hand martial arts. Sandor has taken two vows: One - To only kill when defending the life of an innocent, and Two - To remain celibate. The second vow in particular has grown more difficult of late, as his natural djinn hedonism urges him to seduce every woman he sees, and his fae charm makes doing so particularly easy. With an unknown past, the young monk wanders the Earth, aiding those that need it.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ABILITIES:

    Magical (unknown):
Sandor has inherited some of his mother's fire abilities, being able to use fire magic as an offensive weapon. However, as he doesn't know his heritage, at present he's unaware that he's capable of such feats, and so is effectively without magic.

Physical: Sandor has a resistance to heat, to some extent. Though he would still die if engulfed in flame, the pain of being burnt is highly lessened for him (fascinating the other monks when he completed the ritual of walking across coals with almost no discomfort. He's also capable of rushing into a burning building and withstanding the heat and smoke far longer than any regular human would, which has led to several successful rescues during his travels.

As he's grown to adulthood, Sandor has begun to realise that he's become both more confident around people, and more alluring to them. Unbeknownst to him, this is due to his inborn fae charm, which surrounds him like an aura and makes him more likeble and attractive.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    INVENTORY:

    Weapons:
    - Quarterstaff (The traditional weapon of any monk)
    - Padded gloves (Sandor's preferred weapon, allows him to punch enemies without causing damage to his hands, and also increases the damage his punches do to opponents.)
    - Ancient revolver (An ancient relic from the before-times, Sandor was given a revolver with six bullets, and commanded to use it only when no other choices are available. It only has six bullets, and Sandor has no idea how to obtain more, or if more even exist, so each is exceedingly precious.)

    Resources/Items:
    - Monk's robes.
    - Contact with his home temple
    - Medical supplies

Tell me if I need to edit or remove anything.

@GenericEditor168 If you wish to be a native of the universe yes, otherwise no.

I will post a quick rundown of the native races. A more detailed post will be made later.

Humans-The dominant race on the planet. Capable of magic, some may have strange abilities or powers that are discernibly different from the magic recognized in the world. What causes these aberrations are unknown. Mostly live in cities, or the ruined remains of cities depending on location. Might also move around in nomadic groups if there aren't cities in an area.

Elves- Elves come in four flavours.

Forest Elves- All elves are descended from Forest Elves. Created by the Goddess of Life to be wardens of her forest. At some point in time many of them left the forest and had run ins with the humans. Those who remained in the forest are the current forest elves.

Dark Elves- After leaving the forest some elves, primarily female elves were forced into sex slavery at the hands of humans. After they freed themselves they went into hiding in the deep places of the world. Their society is matriarchal and fearful of men, viewing men and sex in general as a necessary evil to be abhorred.

Desert Elves- After leaving the forest some elves, primarily strong male elves, were made into slaves forced to do manual labor or fight for entertainment. They became bitter and hardened by their time and upon escaping they fled into the desert, where their weaker captors could not follow them easily. With little to call back to in the way of their own society, they came to emulate the very society they escaped from. They are patriarchal and treat non-desert elves and women as property. They now often survive in the harsh deserts, by trading slaves and other goods with various nomadic desert tribes.

Snow Elves- After leaving the forest, Some of the elves managed to avoid being captured by the humans, but were too ashamed to return to the forest. They entered a self-imposed exile in the farthest reaches of the world, where they adapted to the biting cold and became cold and emotionless beings. Their society is ruled by the eldest among them and they are fiercely isolationist.

Undead- Undead beings come in a number of flavours from your basic zombie, to vampires. Vampires will get their own entry. Basic mindless undead are a thing, but there are also undead who retain their memories and intelligence, they are rare, but can be found here and there. Some simply try to continue on as though they never died, others find ways to make use of their new status.

Vampires- Vampires are a hierarchical hive-mind. With the three vampire progenitors known as The Vampire Gods at the top, The Firstspawn below them, The Lords and Ladies below them, then your basic vampire and finally Thralls. Anything below a Vampire Lord or Lady is completely lacking in free will, so if one wants to play as a vampire, you'll have to be a Lord or Lady.

Werewolves- Werewolves are powerful, but solitary creatures and exceedingly rare. They're basically polar bears in that they only really ever interact to mate and other than that, they're more likely to fight another werewolf if two end up in each others territories.

    Extinct Races:

The following races are considered extinct, though some may still be hanging around.

Fairies-The fey are intrinsically tied to Chaos and are generally small, physically weak beings with innately powerful Chaos Magic. Their race was almost entirely wiped out during a historical event known as The God War which will be elaborated on later.

Dragons- The most physically powerful race to ever walk on the planet. Dragons are exactly as fantasy normally portrays them and they come in both European and Asian variants (Though this is mainly aesthetic in this case as they share the same ancestry for the most part) The entirety of The Dragon Race was enslaved by A powerful interuniversal being and were slaughtered during the war against this being.

The Invallar- The Invallar are an original race created for this setting. They are creatures who are essentially raw magical energy incarnated. They primarily appear as beings with humanoid bodies from the waist up and four legged lizard like bodies from the waist down with crystalline scales. They have innate mastery of Arcane Magic and even a baby Invallar would be magically on par with the most powerful of Human Mages. The same Interuniversal being who enslaved the dragons also wiped these creatures out fearing they might be a threat.

@Tjf Looks pretty good. We'll probably have to talk a bit to figure out the exact nature of the monks perhaps, but otherwise it works out well... Especially since Luenna The Goddess of Light is primarily concerned with helping others and protecting the innocent and Fire is actually one of the aspects under her purview. So... That works very well. I will create an actual character creation thread after all the important info has been posted. So, you guys can adjust your characters there once more info about the setting is available. Since it seems like there's a pretty good amount of interest. I'll probably get on that sometime tomorrow.

Edit: Oh er one thing I just noticed reading through again. Guns are not actually that rare in the setting. Neither are bullets. They're more rare then they would be normally, but nowhere near to the extent where a revolver would be considered a relic or where one would be afraid to waste their six shots. It's more like... Getting more bullets would be expensive, not difficult. Imagine it like... Pretty much every gun currently made, still exists and in the same basic quantity, same with bullets, the only problem is there aren't being more manufactured or if there are not nearly to the same quantity and probably exclusively available to one of the factions military forces.

I also feel it should be specified, since I wasn't very clear. In terms of the settings history, the apocalyptic war didn't end that long ago. The war started abruptly, the initial wave of violence stopped after about a few weeks and the apocalyptic war that started lasted for about a decade. About 20 years passed since the end of the war and the ghost war period started then and the rp will take place roughly about 30 years into the ghost war period. Meaning that the setting for the RP takes place around 60 years after the start of the apocalypse, or 50 or so years after the world "ended". Which means while a majority of the younger generation probably don't know much about the world before the war, there are enough people around who would know about the pre-war world that it isn't really treated like a mysterious previous age. It's more like how most of us now would view the 1940's.

    A darker character.

    —————————————————————————————————
    BASIC INFORMATION
    —————————————————————————————————

    Name: Lux Saphielle
    Alias(s): Dawn Altier, Dollmaker
    Age: 84 (since awakening)
    Age of Appearance: 20 (Host)
    Sex: Female
    Race: Banshee (formerly Dark Elf)
    God:
    Faction:

Her life was one of little consequence before falling victim to slavers. Eventually, she died at their hands, leaving no lasting mark or memory other than as part of those uncountable lost and mourned by their descendants. But it was not the end of Saphielle, as she rose from her grave as one of the undead. Although her existence was distorted by the necromantic energies and unresolved grudges animating her essence – leaving little of who she was before. Her memories are fragmented, and she has no sense of when she lived, only a vague sense of a time long ago. Only darkness in between then and now. The creature Saphielle is now is amoral, even malevolent, but deeply loves life and the experiences and sensations it offers. Like a favored toy.

Her current plaything, and host, must have been adventurous to have reached Lux so far away from any meaningful civilization. Who the elf is or why she had come to sniff around her lair, Saphielle couldn't say, though her packing suggests she is a scavenger. Dawn has not said much about her former life, barely even her name. The woman remains tight-lipped or spewing invectives when her mind occasionally surfaces and she fitfully strains against the possession before going under again to recuperate her energy. One day perhaps.

    —————————————————————————————————
    ABILITIES
    —————————————————————————————————

Magical: Due to her nature, Saphielle has a natural affinity for the magic touching upon the thin border between life and death. Able to drain life-force from those she touches, or who hear her deathly wail. Another inherent ability is possession, able to take over the bodies of the weak-willed or had their mind (temporarily) broken. Souls intrigue her on a base level, hoping that through understanding them she can use the knowledge to alter her own existence. Become quite skilled at picking them apart and putting them back together over the years, but it's a delicate and time-consuming process. Other domains contained within the realm of necromancy, such as those relating to mindless undead, has suffered from her specialization.

Disciplines tied strongly to the manipulation of the biological aspects of life, such as the shaping of flesh and healing of wounds, are out of her reach. Instead, as a substitute, she's learned golemancy: housing her favored toys' souls in doll-like husks of her own creation that she can control as one would a puppet on strings. Those she grows bored of are sold to fund her research or to acquire higher quality materials. Her eye for detail and form has earned her high praise from her buyers.

Cultivated a minor talent for telekinesis, enough for her not to be helpless if left without a body. Her manipulation of objects is fine, but lacking in strength and is barely beyond that of a child's. Learned to project a field of force around herself, mimicking the resistance an actual body offers even if not quite the sensations of one and is easily broken through with little, but determined effort. Tiring over prolonged periods of time.

Physical: Her body is insubstantial, though not invisible, offering several advantages as it does disadvantages when interacting with the world around her. Passing through her is like submerging yourself in water. As a member of the undead, she also shares their other strengths and weaknesses. Her form is malleable but shaped by her Id and Ego rather than through any conscious action (Saphielle is unaware of this or that her appearance has changed over the years).

Dawn's body is fit, but suffering under the drain imposed by the possession has made her weaker and slightly cold to the touch. Her eyes have changed from their natural brown to blue. A normal desert elf in every other respect.

The host picture doesn't totally work. It's a pretty common problem on the site, sometimes. Also what are undead weaknesses exactly? Like usually the answer is holy magic I think, but would the possessed version still be weak to it, or marginally more resistant due to not being entirely exposed(Like still somewhat weak to it, but not quite as substantially vulnerable in her Banshee state.)?

Had hoped for @TheLeherengin to offer some insight on that. Holy magic is the obvious counter, but being unable to pass through a circle of salt to being repelled (or weakened) by prayer are some other weaknesses an undead may have.

Well... I like the character. As for Undead Strengths and weaknesses, well for a spirit being like Lux she'd of course be immune to physical damage. However she'd be vulnerable to pretty much all forms of magic (Exceptions being any kind of magic that simply attacks directly... Like an ice mage launching icicles at her would be as effective as trying to physically stab her with an icicle. Disease and poisons she would also be immune to. She'd be especially vulnerable to necromancy and light magic as well as Darkness Magic since Light and Darkness are both also immaterial, by nature. Certain enchanted weapons would also be able to do damage to her. She would have resistance to temperature effects and would not be able to suffocate or drown. There are weapons and objects enchanted specifically to deal with Spirits that would work on her. Also when I get into how magic specifically works in the setting I'll talk about Arcane magic and also exactly how Necromancy and The three parts that make up a living being work in this setting.
