No Nympho Manic all you have to do is write and submit to the story. If it's a public story then the chapter will be immediately published to the story. if the story is moderated then the owner or editor of the story will decide if the chapter will be added or declined. Most i've dealt with will explain why they are declining your submission. So get writing what is the worst thing that can happen, your submission is declined so you use it to start your own story! Hope this help with your question.
Oh it goes through an approval process? That makes sense. I haven't added to any story yet. But I would like to.
As i pointed out only if the story is a moderated story. It a way that the author can control unwanted elements being added by people. it also acts as a way to make sure someone holding a slight against the author or story from ruining it for all. But most of the chapters I've submitted have been approved, in time(may take a while depending on how busy the author or editor is!)
There are three different types of stories: Private, Moderated and Public. Public - Every user can add chapters. They become immediately part of a story. Moderated - Every user can add chapters. Story Owner/Editor must approve them for them to become part of a story. Private - Only Owner of a story and trusted users can add chapters. The owner decides who trusted users are.
Thanks for clearing that up. I would create my own from scratch, however I'm not as a good writer as others obviously.
No one is at the beginning - you become one with practice. Worry not and practice and if you have questions, ask them.
Very well put Majus. Could never understand why new posters feel that they are rubbish compared to we who have started stories here. Don't they realize that we all got our start in the same place-English class in grade three and grew from there!
Thank you. I am somewhat okay, compared to the stories I've read. I am not as good as others. So many possibly exist for this video game story. I wish more people were familiar with playing it. I sincerely wonder what it would look like created as a story. I suppose no harm in trying.
Exactly. Start a first chapter, or maybe a few first chapters, and you will get reactions. Maybe even people contributing to it (and even if they don't - do not be intimidated, sometimes other writers simply don't find the time balancing all their different projects, although they would like to contribute). The best idea in your head is still worse than the worst story you could ever write. Because the last one at least exists.
