"Red Linked" Chapter Options

One thing that I wish CHYOA had was the ability for a chapter author to pre-define options for potential child chapters. You know, like how red links work on wikis. You define a title for a potential chapter, then when someone clicks on it, they get the option to fill in the text of that chapter if they have permission to do so.

Of course, the story owner should be able to be set whether this option is on or not, as well as who has permission to edit suggested chapters as well.

This is the one thing cyoc and writing.com do that I'd like see here.

Not sure if this has been suggested before or not...

It might be interesting, though I think that only story owners and editors should be allowed to suggest options.

Disagree, slightly: I think anyone should be able to suggest an option, but except story owners, editors, and authors it has to be approved like a chapter. Thus, those who are not good at writing, or at least think they are not good enough to contribute to a story, can still make suggestions that other authors could pick up. Because more user interaction and contribution is good for the site and the stories on it.

EDIT: And, I forgot to mention, to save on moderator and editor loads, all suggested chapter red-links are saved in a file at the end of each day. Those files are updated at midnight server time each night for 14 days eliminating all such links approved or rejected that day. On the 14th night, any that remain neither approved nor rejected are automatically approved.
