Despite the addition of a few new writers with their own take on the story I often get comments with good or original ideas, but that don't fit my vision for the story. To keep in spirit with gaming there is something I could do about that. In rpg games a classic gamer reflex when choosing one path is the reload a save to see what the other one was. Writing all branches would probably destroy the momentum I got on writing the main line. What I propose is to occasionally pick on good ideas in comments or obvious alternative choices. I would then write a mini branch (one to three chapters) marked as [Reloaded]. This would allow me to offer alternatives without the hassle of committing to a whole branch. So I thought of asking people if they would be interested in that.
Didn't see an option similar to this when I voted, but how about this. When you reach a point in the main story where you are stuck or contemplating ideas then work on short snippets/branching of the earlier treads. The two of you who are the primary writers for this story seem to have a long storyboard prepared so I don't know how well that idea would fly. If you get a bout of writers block then back up and work on other things. Coming back later to expand? My mindset behind this suggestion is that it seems like a lot of writers are getting burnt out and leave projects behind. Would to happy to see you going at a comfortable pace. Hope this helps
I Already planned this to be for low inspiration days or days where I have a lot of time like during vacations. So yeah what you propose is exactly what I have in mind. And TheScyle is the first writer to have joined me, but I hope the other that are or have been joining since will continued just like he did. They just arrived a bit later and trust me there's some good stuff in the drafts they had to write to qualify for a spot.
