Apologies if this is not the right section for this. But I would like to ask for my name to be removed as editor of a story I was given such status years ago, "The Afterparty". I've recently re-enabled the option for notifications about readers who added my stories as favorites, and I wanted to keep those notifications only for my own stories. So, I would like to be removed as editor for "The Afterparty". Thanks!
You've been removed as editor. In the future, I would recommend directly messaging the story owner to request that they remove your role. I think users should be able to decline and remove roles they've been promoted to by other users, and I have submitted a suggestion to that effect here.
Thanks! Years ago, I was writing for that story and the owner used to not log into the site so much, that's why I've asked to be made editor and it was Friedman or one of the mods that gave me the role. But now there are other editors, so I thought it's okay if I step aside from this.
There should be a way/place to volunteer for such a position, or add editors, or simply note issues/mistakes, etc that you find in a story.
