Not sure where to ask this, but I was added as a writer a while ago by someone who wanted me to help them with their unpublished story, then they didn't really listen to my advice and now seem to have abandoned the idea and show no intention of publishing it at all. I can't find a way to resign from the story tho, and it kind of annoys me that it's there in my stories even though I haven't added anything to it, plus if they do publish it will appear there even though I am not involved. I asked the owner if I could be removed but they ignored my message. Is there any way for me to be removed as a writer from that story? The user was last online three days ago. How long ago did you send them the request to be removed as an editor? If they really have decided to ignore the message for whatever reason, I don't see a problem with a moderator removing you.
I sent them a message asking to be removed about 2 months ago. They did reply at the time regarding other things I said and advice I gave them, but just didn't acknowledge that bit and haven't done anything about it since and I felt kind of awkward badgering them about it. I should probably have brought it up here sooner, but I was giving them time to do something and it was fairly easy to ignore.
They've been given plenty of opportunity to remove you. You've been removed as an editor and the author has been notified.
