It's a great collaborative story, good characters and a lot of possible outcomes. On the threads I've submitted, I tried to develop a deeper friendship between the main character Xander and their young teacher Ms. Lamb, but as I said, there are much more different ways the story can go.
So, does someone have a favorite pairing, yet? I must say that while writing the spin the bottle threads, I found myself liking Xander with either Amber, Molly or Ms. Lamb. As suggestions for future threads, they can go sightseeing, visit a few historical places, hit a nightclub or even get lost in Rome. It'd probably be fun.
I was thinking that Marco and Jessica would eventually hook up, if Jessica was that adamant about it and if Tori was still unsure about her feelings even after cuddling with Marco over Ollie's attempted extortion. That might push Tori closer to Xander, reawakening her old crush, or even Danny, since he'd now be at odds with Marco and maybe Tori would see him as an understanding friend at that moment. Still though, the taboo teacher/student relationship between Xander and Ms. Lamb is too much fun not to the explore, and I'm glad you are, duskford. Either way, fun drama!
When I was thinking about how to contribute, I thought that Xander and Tori could make for an interesting pair, I even tried to make them cross paths on the first couple threads I've submitted, but seeing as she's still 17 and cam confirmed to me she only has her birthday near the end of their trip, it kind of limits how we can use her. Agreed on the Xander/Rosie Lamb pairing, when I saw there was a female teacher on the characters' list, it was the first couple that came to mind.
The cool thing about Xander is that he has potential to hook up with any female character here. Danny likewise could hook up, likely with Jessica, but maybe Amber or even Tori or Lily potentially. Plus even though I like Xander and Ms. Lamb, the devil in me likes the idea of her and Ollie now that his plan with Tori failed
Ollie and Ms. Lamb can also be an interesting pair in a "bad ending" way, either by him seducing her or threatening to tell Mr. Hunter about stuff she turns a blind eye to, like the party, the drinks or the kissing game.
Ah, point taken on Tori. Effectively then, her buildup will be slow. I can see her as being more of a secondary character from now on. And me too! I just think Ms. Lamb needs some encouragement in that regard, though, with potentially Amber in the picture, that will complicated things interestingly. I was thinking about a later thread in which one of the female characters meets a... persuasive local guy. I've never been, but i know people who have, and from what I understand, there is a well-deserved reputation among the guys there.
Having been to Rome my impressions of watching the local men in action was that while they run the spectrum of personality types, there are two fairly common traits when they're chatting up women. It's either extremely charming and flattering, or unbelievably crude and coarse.
Another fun route to take could be Rosie finding herself jealous of Xander's interactions with the other girls.
Yeah, that backs up what I've heard. Some guy one told someone I know that she could hop into his car in the middle of heavy traffic -- and that if she didn't trust him, that she could drive the car herself. I was thinking of someone much less extreme obviously, a very charming young guy who might decide to "try his luck" with one of the girls.
