So onto the things like rules for a game I'm not sure there is a proper name for yet, since it's mostly still being made. Which means, if people want to, they are perfectly welcome to insert their own classes and races that aren't included yet. Now at first the rules appear a little hard to follow, but mostly all you need to really know is you have three stats. Physical, Mental, Social. They all do exactly what you assume they do. Of course, if the game is going to be ran by me instead if we choose to keep it on the forum, I'm probably going to be doing less stat based play. Rules(Rough Guide): Rules: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BEtBhUHFdCtWKQyrjJSWUORIsvdsXXkUQjotOER0zWo/edit Races: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1r9gGbgtJjvjK_DfM62yz6CeyXKPXnNiHiNg95LgVifI/edit Combat Classes:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_41wmEQPoZF-GZg3fFD5pUSYPZjJIivLBurC4TBF8rs/edit?usp=sharing Non Combat Classes: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1idUGgn_JXjNLFGzKZlbcZy2uRE5044D7-Zax3F4N0Zs/edit?usp=sharing Items: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KFuDd8I6fGQytHp5y21_97fluhmRhLmA5s5mjSlqgqQ/edit So how does this all come together and look when making a character? Well, here's an example, using a custom I made. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1T1ANXxAcuQcUvcIdkl3eYn4iCioh5z2srDC_4HHB9qQ/edit Marital Artist Class(My own approved addition. Think of it as a kind of free dlc): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KiuwttkqOxHFOBQYRp3aBexR1nP9QWTn7esFx_Ruj-M/edit Other examples include: Name: Elina Description: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/593126191469297665/593286451127386133/4s4qZEo.png Race: Elf Combat Class: Wizard Non-Combat Class: Bookworm Stats: HP: 20 (Current: 20 ) RP: 50 (Current: 50) Evasion: 6 (Current: 3) Grip: 2+1 PAD: 1d4 MAD: 2d10 Social: 3 Mental: 5 Physical: 1 Traits: Racial: Elven Allure. Enemies take a further 1d6 RP damage from RP attacks made by an Elf. The Tentacle Plant’s abilities do not get this bonus. Combat: Arcane Knowledge. Evasion increased by +2 vs magic attacks. Non-Combat: Book Learning. + 2 on all knowledge mental checks. Current Inventory: Weapon: Basic Staff Weapon Bonus: 1d4 Weapon Effect: Add weapon bonus to all attacks that use MAD. Clothing/Armor: Medium Armor: 1 damage resistance. -1 evasion penalty. Shield: None Currency: 100 Additional Equipment: As stated before, this game can be done with 1-4 players(Possibly one or two more, technically.) Since it's still in it's early version, it's not pitch perfect with everything. People are more than welcome to add their own contributions, if they feel like it. As for where it would be played, it depends if people want to do it on discord or in the forums, which changes things a little. The discord version wouldn't be hosted by me, where the forum version would, as well as discord being more friendly for more extreme things, but still only if the players are comfortable with having them. Since this is a bit much to read about all at once, it can seem overwhelming, but it's all a lot more straightforward than it initially appears and if you kind of treat it like a standard turn based rpg, it makes a lot more sense.
How much freedom do we have when trying to create a non-combat class, and can such a class have skills that can also be used in combat? For example something like this (inspired in part by a forum game I read elsewhere). Seductress RP: 40 Social: 4 Mental: 4 Physical: 1 Trait: Seductive: +2 on all checks when attempting to convince/intimidate someone into doing something sex-related Level 3 Trait: Ask for/Demand sexual favor: Both during combat and outside it the seductress can ask for (positive interaction)/demand (negative interaction) to receive or to give sexual favors. If the target fails to resist (or simply doesn't want to resist), then the target will do their best to grant the request. Spoiler: example spoilered for space Strip for me (convince) – counts as positive interaction Once per combat round can attempt to convince a target to strip. Can be used only if they have something that can pass as clothing. If successful the target spends their next turn stripping nude and can take no other actions. A nude target can spend another combat round to get dressed (and then waste another round stripping, and then another round getting dressed...) Strip for me (command) – almost same as the above, but counts as negative interaction due to attemtping to command/threaten the target When used outside combat both versions are affected by modifiers based on target and location. Example: Getting a shy virgin to strip in the middle of the village square is one thing Getting the same shy virgin to strip while alone with her in her home is another Getting a horny slut to strip in the middle of the village square is a third thing Getting the same horny slut to strip while alone with her in private is a fourth thing Other things one could ask for or offer to do: Oral service: suck dick, suck strap-on, eat pussy, eat ass, etc. Hand service: Handjob and fingering Sex (Vaginal, anal, etc.) The one getting pleasured loses RP each turn based on the action being performed. If the character is getting pleasured, they lose RP each turn and can (attempt to) perform other actions, such as casting spells – though getting pleasured while casting spells might be distracting... If the one getting pleasured is the target, then they lose RP each turn, but the character is unable to do anything else during their turn. If character and target are pleasuring each other (69/scissoring/using a double-headed dildo/etc.), then both lose RP each turn and cannot take any other actions. Important: The allowed targets for the above interactions are limited by the character's sexual orientation. Straight characters can target only the opposite sex, gay/lesbian characters can target only the same sex, and bi characters... can target everyone, I guess. I guess most actions would require the target to be low enough on RP, with the stripping request/demand being the only one that can be used even at full RP Or should I just come up with sometihng less complex for the level 3 trait? For example: Charming: +2 on all checks when attempting to use diplomacy for non-sexual things and +1 on all checks when attempting to use diplomacy for sexual things The +1 combines with the +2 from Seductive for a total of +3 on all checks when attempting to convince/intimidate someone into doing something sex-related
That’s two different questions. From what I gathered, my friend seemed to have originally intended non combat classes to be other skills rather than your battle ones, since a player has both a combat and non combat class, instead of one or the other. But I asked before on the ruling if combat skills like my martial artist’s water abilities could be used for non combat reasons and that was fine, so an inverse shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Don’t quote me on that since I’m just sharing the project and I can’t really make rulings like that. If we are just doing it on the forums and I’m hosting, it would be a kind of homebrew thing, so I see no reason that you couldn’t.
Having thought about it some more I think I will go with Charming for the second trait. Best to go with something less complicated when learning a new system. So for non-combat class I think I will go with: Spoiler: Seductress Seductress RP: 40 Social: 4 Mental: 4 Physical: 1 Trait: Seductive: +2 on all checks when attempting to convince/intimidate someone into doing something sex-related Level 3 Trait: Charming: +2 on all checks when attempting to use diplomacy for non-sexual things and +1 on all checks when attempting to use diplomacy for sexual things The +1 combines with the +2 from Seductive for a total of +3 on all checks when attempting to convince/intimidate someone into doing something sex-related Next question: Any tips for balancing a new class? I tried making a new class based on the Wizard. Here's what I have so far: Spoiler: Sorceress Sorceress (based on Wizard, but more damage focused and mostly single target spells) Magical Damage Dealer Dodger HP: 20 Evasion: 6 PAD: 1d4 MAD: 2d10 Trait: Arcane Knowledge. Evasion increased by +2 vs magic attacks. Lvl 6 Trait: Choose one: Arcane Power For 5 turns any spells you cast have their damage increases by X, where X is the character's level OR Arcane Burst For 3 turns any spells you cast have 50% to double their damage (basically a choice between low but guaranteed damage and high but random damage) Lvl 10 Trait: Choose one of the following. Arcane Flow For 5 turns all positive spells targeting the character have their effects improved by 25% (rounded down) OR Arcane Resistance For 5 turns all negative spells targeting the character have their effects weakened by 25% (rounded down) Skills: Basic Attack. Roll 1d10+physical vs an enemy. On hit deals physical Attack Damage+weapon bonus. Arcane Bolt - Roll 1d10+mental vs an enemy. On hit deal MAD Arcane Touch – Melee only. Roll 1d10+mental vs an enemy. On hit deal MAD and has a chance to stun for 1 turn Lvl 2: Choose one of the following. Arcane Blast. Roll 1d10+mental vs an enemy. On hit deal MAD+10 damage. If this is a killing blow every other enemy takes 1d4 damage. Lightning Bolt – deals damage and has a chance to stun Lvl 4: Choose one of the following Shadow Bolt – deals damage and has a chance to Weaken and Blind Masturbation Curse – target must resist, or else is Cursed, Horny and forced to masturbate for X turns. Casting the spell a second time on the same target increases the turns spent masturbating Lvl 5: Choose one of the following Rain of Arrows – X magical arrows hit the enemies, 1 arrow per enemy. If there are more enemies than arrows, the enemies closest to the caster are hit. If there more arrows than enemies, then the enemies closest to the caster are hit a second time (and a third time, and a fourth time, etc.) until there are no arrows left Arcane Circle – deals high damage in a circle around the caster, hits friend and foe alike Lvl 7: Choose one of the following Lust bolt – deals RP damage and has a chance to make the target Horny Confusion Bolt – deals damage and has a chance to Confuse target Lvl 8: Choose one of the following Charm Person – attempt to Charm the target for X turns Draining Bolt – deals damage to target and heals the caster for half the damage dealt Lvl 9: Choose one of the following Magical Armor, The Sorceress gains DR equal to the Sorceress’s Mental stat for the remainder of combat. Disorientation Blast – deals damage to all enemies. Any hit enemy must pass a check or be Confused for X turns Upon Level up +1d6 or 3 max hp. +1 Evasion at level 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10 Physical Attack Damage becomes 1d6 at level 3, 1d8 at level 5, 1d10 at level 8, 1d12 at level 10 Magical Attack Damage becomes 2d12 at level 3, 3d8 at level 5, 3d10 at level 8, 3d12 at level 10 Choose an additional Sorceress Trait at level 6 and level 10. Choose Additional Skills at level 2, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 On the topic of whether the game should be here in the forum or on Discord: I haven't played anything on Discord before, so I'm not sure how it would work, but I am willing to give it a try. So I'm fine with either forum or Discord.
I think that would be fine. A few of the skills are interchangeable with wizards and almost ironically, some of the physical classes final skills are actually more broken than the magic classes. For balancing, I'm uncertain. The general issue they had was that it seemed to be way too easy combat wise for a full party as is. So things would likely get nerfed eventually or more powerful enemies introduced. For my Martial Artist, between Brawler class boosts, and Oni racial bonuses, it becomes pretty much impossible for my oni girl to ever fail a strength check at the trade off at being pretty bad at about everything else, but it barely matters when you can get around a +6 physical bonus to every roll with that stat. Keeping things more even handed is definitely something that will need to happen in the future, but it's mostly in the laying the groundwork phase, from what I understand. Of course, I kind of would argue you don't want too much min maxing in a mainly sex game, but that's just my thoughts. If you want to do discord, you could probably just join the open slot in our current game, instead of having to make a new one. It depends if other people are going to want in or not. If it's just you, may as well join the pre-existing one. If more, we can just work at making a new one and that's fine.
So I wonder if I should have some kind of deadline for this of when to assume people are or aren't interested.
I'll try to get my character finished today or tomorrow (depending on time zone). I got distracted by life, hence the delay. I hope there will be more people interested.
There's no hurry or anything. Just thinking this is more complicated than most games we have so interest might be limited, is all.
Okay, let's see if I did this right: Name: undecided Race: Elf Gender: Female Sexual Orientation: Lesbian Combat Class: Sorceress Non-Combat Class: Seductress HP: (Current: ) 20 RP: (Current: ) 40 Evasion: 6 Current Evasion: 6 Grip: 2+1 PAD: 1d4 MAD: 2d10 Social: 4 Mental: 4 Physical: 1 Traits: Racial: Elven Allure (Enemies take a further 1d6 RP damage from RP attacks made by an Elf. The Tentacle Plant’s abilities do not get this bonus.) Combat: Arcane Knowledge (Evasion increased by +2 vs magic attacks) Non-Combat: Seductive: +2 on all checks when attempting to convince/intimidate someone into doing something sex-related Equipment/inventory: Weapon: Basic Staff Weapon Bonus: 1d4 Weapon Effect: Add weapon bonus to all attacks that use MAD Clothing/Armor: Cloth Dress Shield: None Currency: 100 Current Inventory: None Additional Equipment: None Skills: Basic Attack. Roll 1d10+physical vs an enemy. On hit deals physical Attack Damage+weapon bonus. Arcane Bolt - Roll 1d10+mental vs an enemy. On hit deal MAD Arcane Touch – Melee only. Roll 1d10+mental vs an enemy. On hit deal MAD and has a chance to stun for 1 turn RP Skills: Grope: roll 1d10 vs a target. On hit deal 1d10 RP damage. Automatically hits if target is grappled. Violate: Can only be done to a grappled target at 1/2 RP or less. Deal 2d10 RP Damage. Penetrate: Can only be done to a grappled target at 1/4 rp or less. Deal 4d10 RP Damage. Penetrate can only be performed by a character in possession of a penis or a penetrative sex toy. Plant Control: Useable on grappled targets or as an attempt to grapple targets. Sacrifice 10 HP the first time you use it in combat to summon a tentacle plant. The tentacle plant can act on your turn. You can attempt to make it grapple, grope or penetrate enemies. It’s roll to grapple is 1d10+ The Elf’s level. It’s Grope, Grapple and Penetrate skills deal 1d10+X 2d10+X and 4d10+X respectively where X is the Elf’s Level. The Tentacle Plant’s Grip is 5+X where X is the elf’s level Note: Plant Control doesn't really fit the character and likely won't see any use. It's included only because the character is an elf and I didn't want to waste time trying to come up with an excuse for not having it. Do I need to add or change anything? Apart from choosing a name, I mean?
