When you're reading a story and you choose your next chapter it should show you the maximum depth of that choice. The problem is when a story has non-descript options and some of them deadend/have very little content. It's fine if this is an optional setting. This would fix the biggest inconvenience I've had on this site.
Duplicate to - Display branch length on option - Show how many chapters left in the branch As CHYOA allows using link chapters, you can't really calculate the number of chapters until the end of the branch as a chapter link might add the whole length of another branch. So if it would show 1 chapter but that chapter is a chapter link, the story might actually be 40 chapters deep beyond that. It is also possible to create loops with link chapters. In that case, the number of chapters is actually infinite.
