@Tjf "15 seconds!" The voice of the officer resounded over the bridge. "Entry in five!" The hyperspace reversed to real space. The Indefatigable appeared right where Kassan wanted it to. Immediately, the bridge exploded to action. "Contacts!" "Imperial convoy, requesting help!" "Pirate contacts! Two hammerhead corvettes and a Nebulon B frigate..." The officer turned to Kassan. "Admiral! It's Aigir'ritar's flagship!" "So we finally caught up with the self-styled pirate queen." The first officer scowled. "Who would have thought, that even 5 decades after her death, the remnants of infamous Q'anah's Maruders would still operate." "Sir, Orders?" The flagship captain turned to Kassan.
@Regin34 "I can't believe it!" Katarina Opal heard as she looked at holonet with disbelief. It started like any other day. Then came news of Emperor's death. It was a shock. Some mourned the man who finally finished the corruption and brought stability to the galaxy. Some were joyful at the death of the man who bloodied his hands trying to bring order. For Narshada, it was just another day. But for her, and her crew... Well, she already finished her business. Supplies were stocked. But what now? What would she do in this new galaxy... where would she lead her crew?
@asddas193 "The ship is loaded, boss! All droids onboard!" Panza said as he run into the bridge - now manned by numerous of B1 battledroids. After stealing the Victory star destroyer, the duo returned to their workshop and picked everything that wasn't bolted and moved it onto the ship - which was easy, considering that most of them were droids. "Contacts!" One of droids called. "Three starships. Identification, Star destroyers." As soon as the Imperial star destroyers exited the hyperspace, they changed the curse and started moving to engage their ship... Come to think of it, it was high time for Sarah to name her pize. "Well, that didn't take them long." Panza grunted. "What now? Escaping or fighting?"
@Sabine Wren The tension could be felt in the air. The city was on the brink of exploding. All that was needed, was a spark. That spark came in form of news. A death happened. A person died. Someone, who was never even on the planet, yet his death created chaos. With the death of the Emperor, the former Separatist world exploded in conflict. Imperial garrison thought against local insurrection, monarchist party, Republican loyalists, gangsters and warlords. The capital, in the opening hours after the news was received, exploded in conflict. It was chaos... but also, opportunity. Rook Kast stood behind Darious, as he watched chaos of the city, blasters flying and explosions. "Sir, what are your orders?" The woman asked, her tone calm and collected.
Darious smiles, his Helmet under his left Arm as He watches The Chaos unfold from His Mansion. He knows where there is War, there is opportunity. "For now we do nothing. Let them slaughter eachother. The Factions who survive will want retribution. And We will deliver it to them inform of Weapons they can Buy from The Nest." He smiles at her.
Giving this bad boy a name can wait. "For now, we escape. I'm not risking a fight with three star destroyers. Set a course for Tattooine. We'll be needing a bigger army, and I'm sure those there're a lot of materials we can get from that planet." Sarah gave her order as she sits on the captain's seat. Confident that her Victory class Star destroyer could out run any other battle ships.
The admiral stands stoically on the bridge, looking through the viewport out at the enemy ships. He strokes his chin for a moment, thinking. "Well, it's time we closed the book on their sordid history. Send out the TIEs to make attacks on the enemy ships. While they're busy with our fighters, draw the Indefatigable closer, and angle the ship so that only the Nebulon B can face us. I want that frigate as an escort ship, so use ion cannons to disable it. Destroy the corvettes." Having given his orders, the old man waits for them to be executed.
Katarina split on the ground thinking about what just happen. Last years they spend transporting wares and men across galaxy, trying to awoid Empire controls and space as they could. Luckly for crew of "Platon Sparrow" Hutt's space was big enough for trade ewen with necessary paying to Hutt's without any safety from pirates. But now also Hutt's begins fight for leadership after death of Jabba. She click on the comunicator to call all the crew. "Emergy meeting to canteen men. We have to discuss last news." She said and leave bridge to join rest of them, as humans, twileks, riodans and many others gareth around the tables. Small garabatan sit on the table and repair his carabin blaster. "Alright men, I guess you all already hear the news about death of Emperor. No mater what every of you thinking about him, his death will change everything. It will bring chaos and fight for power." Katarina look at Will and Sasha, sitting at oposite edge of canteen. " I want to hear all of you opinion what we should do next. Get out as far as we can from Empire space to some kind of safety and waiting as all will be establish or... " Katarina make pause. "Or we try to use the chaos and gain something for ourself, supporting or working by single request for one of forming fraction or ewen for rebels, like we do sometimes in past few years."
Kast bowed her head. "As you command, my lord." She then looked to the city. "Do you have a preference of the faction we should support, or the target is their mutual destruction?"
"Roger, Roger." B1 confirmed as they started the manuver. Panza turned to Sarah. "Tattoine?! That's Jabba's place! Under the control of the Hutts! What in seven hells will we be looking for there!?"
Sarah grins as her engineer panicked, "Calm down, Panza. We have a star destroyer, and an army. Besides that place has a lot of scraps just waiting to be claimed. Don't you think you can remake your factory there?" She replied, smiling, "Also, the Hutts will be taken down sooner or later. Don't you think it's high time the galaxy realize just how great your droids are?"
The bridge moves into the action, just after receiving orders. The first volley is launched from star destroyer. It takes but a moment for the corvette to explode. "Sir! The enemy ships are manoeuvring! They are using the convoy as a shield!" One of the operators reports. "It seems that she has some brains." A cool voice says. Admiral easily recognizes his eerie ally - Chil'van. The numerous Tie fighters launched, moving towards the convoy. With their numbers, they would eventually overpower the pirates, even without the support of capital ship, that Daltar knew. But with losses on their side.
Soon a number of opinions started being stated. "Let's join the rebellion! Kill the fucking Imps!" "And become like them?" "Without the Emperor, the empire might finally change!" "You fucking kidding!" "Would you prefer a galaxy-wide war again!? The clone wars barely ended two decades ago." "I have enough of fighting, I am tired of it. Let's settle somewhere." The crew continued discussion, quite divided.
"Indeed." The admiral is silent for a few moments, before speaking. "In this situation, we can afford neither the destruction of the supplies, nor of our pilots. I have a plan." He looks to the first officer. "Open a communication channel with the frigate, and have our TIEs pull away temporarily. Inform the pirates that we wish to negotiate, and so long as they don't fire on the convoy, we won't fire on them."
The ship shook as turbo blasters hit it. "Entering the hyperspace!" B1 announced as the ship jumped. They were safe. "It's not that easy - we would have to deconstruct the ship to have something working, and even that might not be enough. We lack materials." Panza said shaking his head. "And Hutts, ending? Hah! They existed longer than the republic! Death of Jabba makes little difference in the grand scheme of things."
"Yes sir!" The chorus of voices confirmed as admiral's orders were followed. And for a moment, there was peace, as blasters stopped, only TIEs flying, waiting to fall on the pirates. Soon, a hologram of the self-styled pirate Queen, Aigir'ritar, appeared.
Katarina wonder if giving crew chance to speak their opinion was a good idea. On secend thought, it will be better do it now, when no one attack them. She hit in the table, to make everyone attention on her. "I see that everyone have his own opinion about what we should do next and I respect that. But what is most important to me, is safety and survive of the "Platon Sparrow" and crew. We are't enought powerfull to change wars and battles. " She look at faces of crewmembers. "Our ship is designe for transport and that what we do in the first place. Transport wares and passangers. Not attack other ships and crushing. So real question is, did we support rebelion with risk getting attack by Empire ships or better stay out the conflict and wait when one winner will show up. What do you think? "
"Urgh." Groaning as they were hit, Sarah sighed as she looks at Panza. "Indeed they have, but now that we're here, I think we can manage." She grinned, "Besides, as long as your droids don't malfunction. They can handle any group of thugs the hutts can muster. That, and we can just bombard them from orbit." She shrugged, "Also, don't even think of dismantling this ship until we get a newer, or better one." She warned him, before looking at her droids. "How long til we get to Tattooine?"
@Auraicide It been but a couple of years, since she took over the planet - like ancient Jedi Lords of old, but the changes were already visible. While the planet was ruled in an authoritarian way, it prospered. Yet, it was nowhere near, where Mardica wanted it to be. And there were problems everywhere. First, she had no navy, her troops were weak - more like a militia. Her Jedi followers were but padawans she rescued from Agri-corps, nowhere near knight levels - still effective as special squads. Then there were G16. Now, new problems emerged. Pirates were raiding her world. G16 reported that a Jedi arrived to the planet with a few troops of her own - probably to kill the 'fallen Jedi'. But there was also an opportunity. An ancient battleship was found - few millennium old. A neighbouring system offered a meeting to trade - that would boost her planet's economy. Now, which of this problems should she address first...
Kassan faces the hologram and nods his head respectfully. "I am Admiral Kassan of the Imperial Navy. I have a proposal which has the potential to benefit us both, and would like to talk with you. With your permission, I'd like to take a shuttle to your frigate, so we can negotiate in person. To prove my good intentions, I'll come entrely alone. Well, alone, apart from my favourite pleasure slave." Daltar gestures to Chil'van to come stand next to him, without her lightsaber. When she's reached the position where she can be seen as a hologram on the pirate ship, Daltar grabs her by the arm and roughly pulls her next to him, sliding an arm around her shoulder and reaching down to grope her immense chest. "Shall I take the shuttle?" Daltar guesses that Chil'van would understand the plan: Head to the pirate frigate, be captured and taken hostage by the pirates, be taken to the bridge to meet the captain, have Chil'van unleash her powers upon the bridge crew. Then, they can finally using the bridge controls to leave the frigate helpless as the fighters disable it, and the stormtroopers board it.
