Hey, is there maybe an easy way to backup an entire story or thread into textfiles? Doesn't even need to have any XML or stuff to save the structure, I would just like to have each chapter's text saved on my local drive just to be sure. I can of course go through every chapter and manually copy it, just figured I'd ask first whether there is a function for this!
There is currently no option to do that. But an export feature for owners and editors is on my to do list.
I think the classic resort is to use a web spider from the story map with a depth of one. I don't have a specific recommendation but maybe someone has a favorite to suggest. Z.
I disagree, I think for the next update after the one that will in theory happen today this should be TOP priority!
Hey! This might be necro-posting, but... Is there any chance we'll ever be able to use this "export feature"? I would appreciate it very much.
As it refers to the exact topic of this thread, I'd say that's perfectly fine. In the meantime, we got a Suggestion forum that allows users to vote on features they would like to see most and as far as I remember, there isn't a thread for an export feature yet.
That would be great. I write my stories in another platform then paste them here, but inevitably I go and make small edits and fixes on CHYOA over time but rarely modify the source files unless it’s a major change. Being able to get the best version easily would be helpful for my longer stories.
