Tags not working

At the end of each chapter, I include tags on the black strip where tags are supposed to be entered but they never show. Any thoughts?

 

Are you hitting return after each tag (they should get a blue border) and then clicking "save"?

 

Never noticed a blue border like that. How does this thing work? It would be really helpful if you describe the process through small steps

 

So first you type it in, then press enter/return, and it will get a blue box around it. Then hit save chapter and done. If adding multiple tags press return after each one.
