I'm looking for feedback on my story Tales of the Forest. I'm planning on making a few different stories within it rather than just sticking to one though they might overlap at times. Right now I'm a bit focused on the Pool Dispute line but I'm planning to get to work on the others soon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. https://chyoa.com/story/Tales-of-the-forest.16379
First impression is "yet another generic fantasy story", and there it will remain, as right out of the gate you go the Rape path with the tentacle monster story. However, let me offer some advice: by itself a Sylvain melieu is not enough to hang a story on: why THIS Forest? Why now? What makes YOUR fantasy story better than the one in the next link over? Answer that, and you'll be well on the way to a better CHYOA.
I'm trying to go for a mixture of things to test my writing against. The tentacle monster thing is basically just there for those looking for something quick. I will likely not be developing it further unless I can think of something to do with it. I'm working on another part of the story that's about a consensual relationship between an elf and a human. The Pool line will contain a bit of both. I've honestly not really given much thought to how the forest really matters to the world around it. It's really just there to act as a setting for what happens inside it.
