    You stride through the open doors of the building, looking in awe as you see the guild hall. It's not a big building, but as the light shines down from the high windows, illuminating the trophies of so many heroes - people who fought monsters, stood on battlefields, rescued damsels, and less...illustrious achievements too, you feel a thrill run up your spine. This is the guild hall, where for centuries jobs great and small have been posted from around the continent, and warriors, mages and thieves alike have embarked to fulfill these requests.

    "Rookie, huh?" You hear from behind you, turning to see a large orcess looking down at you.

    "Wonder how long you'll last." She chuckles. "Lookin' to sign up? Here, follow me." She leads you through the hall to a reception desk, where an old greybeard looks at you questioningly, before opening a dusty old tome. "Please, write down your details here."

    (Players have two flaw points to spend on their character. Flaws can be two regular negative traits, or a single, substantial character flaw that has a major impact on the character's life. Arrogance, impatience, shyness and misanthropy etc are examples of flaws. With both points spent, the player will be able to replace an item of default starting gear with a custom, superior version with a dice roll modifier.)

    Background/Reason for joining:
    Eran hails (or so he claims) from the elven city of Verdasiennalle (oftentimes shortened to Verdas), a very large and very distant elven city inhabited by multiple kinds of elves. He was born on a windy night, hence the surname. He does not like talking about his past, so little is known about him beyond that.

    Eran, like many other people, acknowledges that deities exist and are not to be trifled with (unless one is feeling suicidal). While he does not properly worship any deity, Eran favors Ysvela, a minor elven goddess of healing. Healing is important, after all, plus she is hot and makes for great masturbation material, if necessary. Here are a couple of (AI-generated) pictures showing two of Ysvela's common depictions:

    Gale Burst – shoots forth a cone of strong wind that deals some damage and pushes everything back several steps (if possible). Useful for pushing people off ledges or into traps

    I'll give it another look over later, but at a glance it looks great! I'm guessing the flaw means he'll be trying to dom women even if it's a bad idea, regardless of consequences.

    Added a second spell: Gale Burst

    Pretty much. He has enough self-control to not try doming women when it is an obviously bad idea, such as trying to dom a noblewoman right in front of her guards (unless he knows that she's into that sort of thing). But if he's alone with said noblewoman he's guaranteed to at the very least grope her, and likely try to go further than that, regardless of the consequences.

    Made a few updates to my character. The enchanted sword is from spending the two flaw points, the rest is basic starting equipment. Still undecided on background and appearance, so for now just added a couple of short-term goals.

    So have a few other ideas I might debate a bit too, but: Also feel like I need to define her spells a bit better here but can't think of the good wording to use.

    Jaiela is Meira's older sister by only a few years yet tends to position herself as the smarter and more mature of the two. Having also joined her as becoming a house servant at an early age, the two sisters have something of a rivalry in approval by the late master's children. Having adopted the name Jasmine to frame herself as more human like, it hasn't changed her still purplish hair. Though compared to her younger sister, it's not quite as glaring and for a good amount of elves, it passes more for black, though that's largely only passes to elves born in mostly human or mixed settlements. And she wouldn't acknowledge it, but she shares the same memories of needing to flee due to their hair color as much as her younger sister.

    Jaiela has a deep seated need to feel superior to others, barring anyone who is not her own family, a Madenguarde. Meira considers it along the lines of her older sister creating a fake persona herself as an aristocratic upper class elite, while nothing could be further from the truth. Acting as the personal secretary and personal guard, to the eldest son, there's no denying her talents. Even as children, Meira always felt that Jaiela was always the stronger of the two when it came to magic.

    When Celeste had deemed she wished to move on to adventuring, Jaiela had remained at the side of the eldest, and the sisters had went their separate ways.

    Background/Reason for joining:
    Born in a remote region populated almost entirely by elves, she was born with violet hair. While seemingly a silly thing among most other races, this was seen as a dark omen of evil among other elves. As a result of living mostly isolated as a child, she took too applying her natural magic to enthralling monsters like a tamer would do. Though this brought her company, it came with the price of the belief she was trying to summon demons or monsters in even worse rumors among her village. When one of the monsters she had befriended lost control, she was forced to leave home and came across a passing by carriage of a human nobleman. He wasn't especially kind, but while he only intended to take the child as far as town and leave her in care of the orphanage, it was the talent of the sisters that convinced him to take them in.

    With the long lifespan held by elves, by the time her father had died and Celeste had grown up, Meira was there as her loyal retainer, fully willing to carry out any wish the girl had made, no matter how arbitrary or how stupid. Initially it was intended that she would one day have this role for the late master's eldest son, but he allowed it aware of despite her love for all the offspring, his younger sister was truly a special case.

    So it was no surprise that one day, for whatever reason, nobody but her truly knows why, when Celeste had announced her desire to leave to be an adventurer, Meira would follow her there too.

    Spells/Abilities:
    Evil Flame:
    Despite the name, it's a blast of magic that has no real temperature, made purely of dark magical energy converted into a magical blast of power. A rather simple, but practical spell.
    Dark Bind: Summons solid hands from shadows at the caster's control. The strength and scale depends on the power put in by the caster.
    Enrage: A technique used by mages who manipulate the mind to provoke a target into a unthinking rage to attack the nearest thing around them or a particular target they internally hated by losing control of themselves, allies included. However, this usually requires the victim to have already had those emotions in the first place. Creating them in a being not already internalizing them usually requires a powerful and skilled caster. Most often, it usually requires amplifying feelings that normally wouldn't be acted on.
    Dominate- Even friendly monsters often will only acknowledge a master whose strong enough to form a contract with, and dominate is usually the best means. In her experience, she's only found it work consistently on animalistic creatures or particularly weak minded ones. She's never been able to complete it on a human successfully, though part of that comes from being mostly unwilling to test it. The strength of it also tends to wane depending on the strength and number of beings under the invoker's command. She's found about two is the most she can do before she has to enter a certain unique form of negotiations to complete the contract.

    Flaws:
    Omen- It's not something typical for most other races to be aware of, but among elves, many treat her with natural suspicion and wariness. This usually depends on how superstitious they are, but she's used to elves who follow their culture often treating her as a thing to be feared.

    Soul Bonded: While not the same as a summoning contract, there is a very specific type of Geas using an old gods ritual to tie someone's life to the other. For anybody but a first-rate ritualist expert, attempting a soul bond this way would only be possible if it was accepted willingly. Should the holder die anything that isn't a natural death, it ensures the death of the bonded one as well., and to share whatever pain the master feels. Nobody sane would ever possibly agree to this. Even so, Meira took it as her pledge, to serve her lady in everyway. Really, this wouldn't even be a problem in itself...if not for....Claire's impulsivity and naivety leading her to do stupid things like joining an Adventurer's Guild with no experience.

    Background/Reason for joining:

    Zilavra was born a homeless girl on the streets of Shadralis in The Umbral Empire to unknown parents. Her parents suffered an unknown fate and due to her murky background, she became a perfect candidate for The Obsidian Talon. A shadowy organization of agents that enforce the will of the Dark Elf dominion she was born into.

    They took her, and through a brutal training regimen that left her body covered in scars, they shaped her into a weapon for them to use—a tool with little emotion that would do their bidding without question. As was common with members of The Obsidian Talon, she was sent abroad to blend in with society and ensure that The Umbral Empire had agents everywhere.

    Like other members of her organization, she has chosen Adventuring as her profession. This task keeps her talents sharp and ensures she is mobile when her masters need her.




    Class:
    Enforcer - The Enforcers of The Obsidian Talon are very aggressive fighters. Much like Barbarians, they can attack brutally while shrugging off damage. The difference being that Enforcers shrug off damage through their brutal conditioning and training and Barbarians do it through rage. Also experienced Enforcers also have some subterfuge built into their skillsets such as stealth, lockpicking,etc...

    Armor: Zilavra wears a black tunic and trousers with an elegant cloak around her shoulders and her breasts are wrapped which makes her look a bit boyish. Some would take her for a minor noble...if it wasn't for all of those scars.
    Weapons: Zilavra prefers dual wielding a Longsword and Shortsword with a style that focuses on dispatching her enemies as quickly as possible while caring little for physical harm.
    Equipment:
    -Compass, camping gear, a bedroll which likely would be regarded as just a thin mat for sensible people, a length of rope,
    - a small enchanted jewel that her masters can use to contact her. It burns hot when someone desires to contact her and projects that individual's ghostly visage when rubbed and a password is spoken. The communication is two-way, but she cannot use it to contact her masters. It is only for her masters to contact her.

    Intimidate* - About the only social skill she has. If looks could kill, then hers definitely could.
    Awareness* - Enforcers are always more aware than average about what's going on around them as they maintain wariness for any danger.
    Stealthy* - Zilavra steps lightly, doesn't make unnecessary movements, and has little presence. Even when she's not actively trying to hide, she can approach someone close to them without them noticing and leave just as quickly.

    Flaws (We all have 'em...):

    Emotionally Muted- Zilavra's scars aren't just physical,but also mental. Her abuse was quite extensive and primarily intended to punish her for outward expressions of emotion and fold her to the will of her masters. Therefore, she struggles with seemingly normal things. Humor, modesty, nuance...These concepts escape her. Even basic stuff like Joy and Rage evade her, having been muted down to just contentedness and mild irritation. Of course, she still has physical desires and isn't afraid to pursue those desires (as she also lacks fear)...Although sexual encounters with her can often lead to her partner being disappointed as she sees it as a way to train her mental conditioning further.

    Sleeper Agent- The final and most true way that The Obsidian Talon controls their members and prevents them from rebelling or becoming a threat. It is unclear if it is magical in nature, or if it's something that's just brutalized into their psyche(damnit pavlov!). Every Enforcer of The Obsidian Talon has a Control. A unique phrase that gives the speaker complete domination over the agent. Once spoken, whether accidental or intentional, the agent must obey the individual who spoke The Control and fulfill their commands to the best of their ability. The Control is known only to the leadership of The Obsidian Talon and selectively to Dark Elf Nobles desiring an enforcer for a task...However, due to the nature of such things, Controls leak, and often, more corrupt individuals will sell them (and the enforcers attached to them) for a cost.

    Mildly sexist towards men- It's a flaw, but more of a personality trait due to the nature of Dark Elf Matriarchial society. :rolleyes:

    Background/Reason for joining: Unlucky straight from the start; Eliza was born under the light of the Dawn Star, an omen of doom to her tribe. She bears a birthmark in the impossible perfect shape of the sign of one of their Old Gods; an old god that was cast down by the current gods, or so her tribe's legends say. With only half of her blood as elven to boot, her mother discarded her after birth, leaving her with a travelling human merchant who raised her as his daughter.

    Never setting down roots, Eliza got to see the world but always longed for a home. Curious about her people Eliza sought out other elves when she came of age and devoted herself to the elf-goddess Melinatra, who is said to be the benefactor of women, motherhood, childbirth, family, healing and the home. But after six decades of service to her Goddess, Melinatra has not spoken to Eliza, given her any gifts or signs.

    Despondent, Eliza discussed her distress with her priestess whom suggested a sabbatical and to take her talents to help others. At her wits-end, Eliza agreed and joined the Adventurer's Guild.

    Weapons: *Wooden staff* with the sigil of the Goddess Melinatra affixed at one end. Embedded in the centre of the sigil is an amethyst stone that pulses periodically.

    Awareness * - Even though Eliza is only a half-elf she inherited the acute senses of her elven ancestors. Her sight and hearing are near perfect and beyond normal for humans.
    Repair * - Growing up on the road Eliza learned how to fix things with nearby supplies. While not an tradesman by any means, if something breaks she can usually get it back in working order or at least get it working long enough to reach someone who can.
    Foraging * - Growing up on the road oftentimes Eliza and her father had to rough it on long journeys. She grew to know how to find food and drinking water as well as what resources were around that could be used to fix their gear.

    Spells/Abilities:
    Bind Wounds - A common spell to stop bleeding or cure light injuries.
    Rejuvenate - A spell to restore one's stamina, vitality, or shortness of breath. Speeds up the natural healing process. Also stops people from sweating due to physical exertion.

    Flaws

    Low Self-Esteem - Eliza's "father" regarded her as cheap labour as much as his daughter, and not growing up with any other positive role model as affected her self-worth. Her time as a follower of Melinatra hasn't helped much as her teachers, while instructive, regard her as a half-blood and thus only half-worthy. As a result, she craves approval and acceptance.
    Evil Sign - Eliza's birthmark is considered an evil sign and a bad omen by elves as they consider her marked by a fallen god.

    Background/Reason for joining:
    Fei Riu was a student at one of the oldest Tamer guilds in the eastern continent. She wasn't the greatest student one could ask for, but what she lacked in skill, she made up for with determination. To the point of sneaking into the library at the dead of night, stealing the guild's most treasured tome. Liu Xu's Bestiary. Allowing Fei to research any sort of beast she might encounter. And just as she was about to be punished for her transgression, one of the senior student's newly tamed beast went berserk. Which lead to the partial destruction of the guild, maybe Fei even saved the tome by borrowing it without permission. But she wasn't going to wait to find out. While the guild was busy dealing with the beast, Fei ran, taking whatever she could, before boarding a ship headed to a different part of the world.

    After arriving to her new home, Fei knew she needed to find work. Thinking that she could simply tame monsters to help with manual labor around the city. Fei quickly ran out of funds to create her talismans, with only a single goblin to show for it. With no other choice, she heads to the adventurer's guild in hopes of getting the necessary funds to continue with her craft...

    Liu Xu's Bestiary: A tome Fei "borrowed" from her homeland, it contains information regarding most mundane beasts, with some anecdotes on mythical ones. It is quite detailed down to most beasts habits, diets, traits, and even some weaknesses.
    x2 Tamer's collar: A normal leather collar, with the Tamer guild's logo at the front. Used by Tamers on beasts they capture as proof of ownership, and to inform other adventurers that the beast belongs to someone. Though that only works if a Tamer is around. A monster wearing this collar, with no one else around is almost always mistaken as a wild monster, or considered a runaway, which makes them fair game in the eyes of the Tamer's Guild.
    Tamed Beasts;
    Goblin: One of the first creatures Fei met after moving away from her home land. She was lucky enough that her final Talisman worked on the beast. Sadly he isn't very smart, and his strength is only above-average compared to other goblins, so Fei only uses him as a pack mule, or a distraction.

    Taoist Arts*: Eastern Magics that use Talismans as mediums to cast their spells
    Non-Combat Skills:
    Gathering*: As a tamer, Fei knows how to collect materials from monsters, and plants
    Trapper*: As a tamer, Fei has learnt the basics of creating non-lethal traps, and where to place them for good results. Although she's only experienced catching small prey, like goblins.
    Talisman Creation*: One of the biggest drains in Fei's budget. While Talismans are handy when using her spells, they are quite costly to make due to eastern materials being quite sparse in her new home.

    Spells/Abilities:
    Taoist Art: Bestial Subjugation; A spell that allows one to subjugate a weakened monster, bringing it under the caster's control. Success means a mental connection between tamer, and beast is created. Allowing the tamer to better understand their new partner's state of being. While the beast themselves are compelled to follow a tamer's commands, there have been some cases of intelligent monsters being able to resist commands, and at worst even break the spell completely.
    Taoist Art: Rejuvenation; A spell that accelerates ones own healing capabilities. Allowing The target to recover from light wounds and ailments within hours. Assuming their bodies were naturally capable of healing from it.

    Flaws (We all have 'em...):
    Liu Xu's debt: While the tamer Liu Xu was hailed as the greatest of the land, most were unaware of the price he paid to attain such rank. Which was making a deal with an incubus, offering his soul and that of his disciples for knowledge. The real reason the bestiary seemingly held every information a tamer would need, was because of the intricate magic woven into its very pages. Infernal magic that has unfortunately deemed Fei as one of Liu Xu's disciples, binding itself to her soul as the incubus' magic aims to slowly corrupt her. With the tome binding itself to her, that means that it will return to Fei no matter what she does, unless she can find a way to break the incubi's curse.

    (Players have two flaw points to spend on their character. Flaws can be two regular negative traits, or a single, substantial character flaw that has a major impact on the character's life. Arrogance, impatience, shyness and misanthropy etc are examples of flaws. With both points spent, the player will be able to replace an item of default starting gear with a custom, superior version with a dice roll modifier.)

    I like it. The Pokemon aspect isn't something I was expecting when I started this, but far from unwelcome. Does she have flaws?

    Background/Reason for joining: Lyria grew up among a family of travelling circus performers. Her parents, uncles, aunts, siblings and cousins all had some role or performance an the circus, travelling from town to town to bring joy and merriment. Lyria became a staple act in time, learning to perform daring acrobatics and delight the crowd with her dances. Her father and uncle run their travelling circus, with her aunt being the circus' fortune teller and magician and her mother, a dancer and bard. She eventually learned some illusion magic from her aunt, and when her skill and nimbleness became considerable, her uncle convinced her to improve the circus' income through... less honourable means. Striking out at night to relieve the wealthy of some coin and riches, in one of those heists Lyria found a beautiful set of jewellery, with sapphire gems in the shade of her eyes. She should have fenced those pieces, but they appealed to her, so she took them for herself. She was delighted with them at first, but soon it became clear that those jewels were enchanted or cursed, causing her arousal to rise steadily, even with no intrusive thoughts or stimulation. With a heavy heart, she left her family to find someone to remove the cursed jewellery. She joins the guild to make coin to get by in her quest.

She needs to find the time to masturbate or have sex at least once a day or risk becoming incapacitated with need at the worst opportunity. She's looking for anyone who might be able to help remove them.

    Made some edits in the Appearance and Background sections. I decided to try and fugure out most of his background during the game instead of right from the start - we'll see how well this will work out...
